Wow today it took a long time for George to get up. He first started out with a bloody nose, and then he fell in the bathroom, poor guy. He’s still not talking either. He was talking yesterday from what I heard. I talked to Dennis and he said his sleep schedule is messed up to where he sleeps during the day and is up at night. He ended up eating a little bit and when I left he was resting on the couch. It’s been a rainy day today too.

Hi Jody,
Thanks for helping yesterday. It must have been hard to clean up all the blood from his bloody nose. And thank you for talking with me on the phone. It was sad to see him down again. But I know he's slowing down and that it's natural. I just don't want him to go too quickly! But then..it's up to him. He sure likes to do things his way.

Don is coming out next weekend when I'm going to be there. I wish he would have come out this weekend, but he thought he was getting better. Even if he is, I know it won't last forever, so we want to spend time with him, hopefully, he'll be alert.

HI Jody,
It did it again..I tried to submit a comment and it didn't go through... maybe I'm writing too much?

Anyway, I was just describing what happened yesterday (Thurs). I was watching through the camera on and off all day and didn't see my dad come out of his room till after 7pm. I was so concerned. But then I suddenly saw him on the couch. He was rocking a little and nodding. But then he suddenly got up and walked to his wheelchair and sat down. He was really interested in something going on outside and craned his neck to see. It looked like Ron had company and they were hanging around in their front yard. Eventally, my dad got up and pulled his wheelchair to the window. And he stood up at the window and watched. Then sat down, put his feet up, and settled in for the show. It was good to see him interested in something. Dennis showed up and I saw them talking briefly and he pushed him away--probably to the bathroom.

It was a relief to see him active again; but I know he also needs a lot of deep sleep and his schedule is flipped. Sorry for Dennis. I hope he gets enough sleep and peace of mind. It is a big relief for us to have you coming so often. I know I can rest easy when I know you'll be there. Thanks!

Hi Sharon,

I think the comments show up when you sign in again. That's how it's been for me anyway, it's not right away. Thanks for the comments. When I took him out today, he couldn't understand what I was trying to say. He was saying "Tell him (Dennis)" I said "No I'm talking to you". I was describing how I was going to take him for a drive. We drove up to Brighton and stopped at Solitude on the way. He was telling me he didn't remember any of it :( Maybe if he saw some pictures that might help. He talked to me more today and was awake all the way up and fell asleep when we were almost at the bottom. I fixed him something to eat before I left and he even stayed awake for that. I know you know that though ;)
Talk to you soon!

Jody
