Today when I came over, George was awake in bed. Dennis said he got up earlier in the morning and shaved and was doing things in his room. He seems to be doing better today; he’s still really tired though. When I got him up, he had breakfast outside. It’s a really nice day today. David and Sharon sent him a picture in the mail that he looked at today, he was telling me who the people were. He also received a letter for the 4th Annual Kaizen Judo Tournament. I showed that to him, he read it but didn’t say anything about it. I’ll plan on taking him to that if he’s up to it; the tournament is on April 30th. He’s pretty quiet when he’s not feeling very good. He ate pretty well and rested outside in the sunshine for a bit.

Hi Jody,
Thanks for posting this picture. He asked me to blow it up so I did and sent it to him. He kept putting his finger over the faces of Kikuko san and Tosh (I think) and said, "he's gone"; or "she'll be gone in a year or two".
I'm glad he got to go outside. Too bad he's still not feeling well... The nurse seemed really concerned that he looked so different. So, she may set up hospice :( if he doesn't bounce back soon... Hospice is great for all the help and supplies covered by medicare, but sad to think he may need it.
