George was dressed today! He was asleep on the floor though :/ When I told him I was here and asked him what he was doing, he opened his eyes and said “I’m sleeping." I got him to sit up on the couch, it was cute he actually was talking more to me today; he pointed to his glass and said “Could I have water please?” We went back into his room and he started to make his bed, I helped him with that and then he tried to crawl in bed. I told him it was time to get up. I let him get ready pretty much on his own to see what he was able to do. He was able to get ready like he usually does; I just had to go in a few times to remind him ;) He is still a little tired; I think he got up early today though. It took him a lot of encouragement and time to get his shoes on. He just wanted to sleep during and after that. I got him to stand up but he just kept wanting to sit back down. At least he was looking out the window today. I pushed him to go today, I usually don’t but thought once he was up he would get going, he just didn’t want to get up. I think he has just gotten used to just being home and not wanting to do anything, or it was ‘just one of those days’.

Hmmm now I know what you mean about posts not showing up! I made a comment on the one before this one and it didn't show up. It did at the time, it said it was posted to the blog. Anyway, I was just responding to the post that you sent after you were talking to him the other day on the computer. I was just saying how cute it was that he was talking to you and the things he says :) I like hearing things like that on here, it's fun :)
I think he was up early today, there was breakfast on the table and Dennis got him lunch too. All he wanted to do today was sleep. :/ he must have had a busy night or was just up early and that made him really tired. It was good to see him actually up and dressed though.

Thanks Jody.
Sorry it didn't work out to skype. My drive home is one hour so it's hard to coordinate. But I'm glad he was up and dressed. I'm sad that he's so tired all the time, but perhaps that's his body slowing down. It's ok though...I have to get used to the idea that it's natural.
Thanks so much for trying to coax him to do his usual things. I do wish he will go out again. Maybe when it gets warmer it'll be easier? Maybe he'll need to be pushed on his wheelchair instead of walking, but that would be ok too. At least he'll be out.
See you when I come out there.
Thanks,
Sharon

Hi Sharon,

I could just not get him going at all. He would not even keep his eyes open. I was over today and he was in the fridge, Dennis' car, my car, just everywhere looking for his 'drink'. I told him he was out and Dennis would get some later. He seemed to be OK with that. Who looks for a bottle in a box? It's so funny, he looks everywhere! Oh and he had his sunglasses on when he was in the garage looking through Dennis' car. He was pretty active today. Yesterday he must have just been super tired. See you later :)
