Today when I came over George was partially dressed but had a hard time getting up today. He was really tired; I made him some coffee and cleaned up while he was getting ready for the day. I made him some lunch at home and tried to get him to do something. Trevor came home with a friend and George said “Are you enjoying my car?” I was finally able to get him out and at least go and cash his check. He was asleep by the time I left. He needed a lot of coaxing today.

I had to work at the hospital today, I was going to make George some eggs, (He woke up late) Dennis saw that I was making them and came and finished them. I guess I’m not a good cook. He even made some coffee. George and I talked and visited then went for a walk before I had to go to work. On our walk when we were passing his neighbor's house he said "She's a tall girl, she walks all over, I wish I could walk like her."

Sounds like he's having a slow week. February is always hard for him-winter gets old. I think he'll perk up in spring though.
I was going to call Friday but thought I'd try calling on Saturday instead, that way, he'll have something new when no one's around. I hope he still knows how to answer the phone.
Thank you for helping him exercise. The Dr. said we can order PT anytime, but medicare only covers it once a year. If you can think of when might be a good time to start, please let me know.
I wish Trevor would drive him around a little. He needs to thank him for letting him use his car.
I'll call on Monday if I can't reach him this weekend.
Thanks, Jody!

Hi Sharon, it's probably good you didn't call on Friday, he didn't want to talk to anyone or do anything.
I'm not sure about PT right now. I know Dennis has talked to you about how he has been the last few days. He didn't want to worry you over the weekend, cause you know how your Dad is...he can be really tired one day and perk up the next. I'm glad he decided to make an appt for the Dr.s though.
I think you're right about Trevor. I think he tries to avoid him though cause your Dad gets mad about the car. Maybe if Trevor parked down the road so your Dad can't see it? Today when he saw it in the driveway, he got upset saying that he didn't have permission to drive it. He (Trevor) got in a small accident, and the door has a couple of dents in it too.
He's not answering the phone anymore. Dennis will be home all week though. his appt. is at 1:45. Maybe call in the afternoon to see how the Dr's went? I'll talk to you soon.
