On Friday, we went to Wendover for George's Birthday. I brought breakfast over, we left soon after that. We had to stop at the credit union first, he didn't have enough money! On the drive, George was pretty talkative and telling me about all sorts of things like golf, an underground football field, the line on the mountain where the Great Salt Lake used to be, etc. When we reached the 'Christmas tree', he said that was his "pee stop" he mentioned that about 20 yrs. ago, he and about 2-3 other friends stopped there on their way to Wendover. When we got to Wendover, he started playing the slot machines. We had lunch then he played the same machine again. He thought he won a lot more than he actually did. He about broke even. He's lucky and can stay at a machine for a long time! It was a fun day once we got going.
I have a few more pictures of Wendover on photobucket.

Hi Jody,
Thank you so much for taking him to Wendover! You do too much! When I spoke with him the next day he went on and on about it. He said it's been a long time and he had fun. He said you had fun too :) I hope you did!
Yeah, he loves to tell stories about the pee tree. I hear it everytime we go to Wendover. He actually has a story about just about everything along the road. There's a little building on the North side by Delle. You'd hardly notice it. He has all kinds of things to say about it. Don't know if he's making it up or not, but I'm always amazed by what he comes up with.
Thank you so much for your generosity and creativity. You are the highlight of his week.

Hi Sharon!
Your sweet! I don't do too much, I don't do enough! It was funny, on the way there he said "You've never been out there with me have you?" I had to remind him. He was more talkative this time than last I think. Has he ever told you about the underground football field? He likes to talk about the salt too. It was a fun day, it's fun to see him having a good time :) The slot machine's that he plays really needs decimal points! He thinks he wins soo much. When it was less than he thought he said "only this much for my birthday?"
