When I came over today George was in his room getting dressed, it was noon! He started to get lots of food out of the fridge and the cupboard. I made a variety of things and he ate really well. He painted the dog for a little while but his hands were getting sore. He had a choice to watch the body’s exhibit DVD or go for a drive; we went for a small drive. (The news last night said to keep people inside today because of the inversion). He has a family moving in across the street from him. I’m sure he will have lots to talk about next time I see him… He will know all about them by Wednesday ;) and for awhile after that.
I have more pics of today on photobucket.

Hi Jody,
Sounds like you've been having a lot of fun. I think he gets depressed in the winter. He keeps saying he hopes someone will stop by. I'm going to see if the U has a program for students to visit elderly folks and then there's Lutheran Social Services. They will come to talk about "spirituality". I hope they don't try to convert him! That'll be interesting.
By the way, I noticed his blood pressure was really high once. Would you email me if you notice anything strange? Maybe I should call the Dr.? It goes up and down it seems; do you know what to make of it?
Thanks again for these blogs and for giving dad a couple of happy exciting days in his week :)

Sharon
p.s. could you try to reteach him his grand kid's names? I don't think he remembers Ryan and Blake's names.

Hi Sharon, the U is a good idea! But if someone trys to convert him they will have a run for their money huh ;)
Maybe the time his BP was high was after he was doing some sort of activity. BP goes up and down, it's never the same at any given moment during the day because of what you are doing all day, sitting of course will make it lower and walking or exercising will make it higher. He has great! Blood pressure, you have nothing to worry about. I'm thinking the time that it was on the higher side, was actually closer to the average rate. The norm is about 120-130/80's (Some people have high norms and some have low norms) He is well below that, and that's good. Of course I will email you or call if something is out of whack.
I'll try to help him remember Ryan and Blakes names too.
