Today was so cool! We made the ginger bread house and George is so proud of it! He spent so much time on it, a little over two hours. (He did all of it! and decided where everything should go, I did suggest a door knob and putting the pinwheels on but other than that, it's all him!). He is really into detail, and if you look at it you will see the symmetry and how the colors are in the same place's. When we first started, the roof kept falling down and I was trying to video tape it but the batteries ran out and I couldn’t take a picture of him building and decorating it because both our hands were full! He said “This isn’t so easy” (Like we thought it would be). After he was done he stood up and said “That does look nice!” He was so proud of it! The look on his face was priceless. We ended up putting it on the table and he said it was “The centerpiece” He really wanted to display it, and put it in a spot where people could see it when they first came in. He first asked me to put it on the ledge and was talking about putting 2x2's up to support it, (I suggested the table). Today was fun.
I have more pictures of the ginger bread house on photobucket. ;)

I can't believe he made the house by himself. It looks really nice! I especially liked the symmetry of the colored dots on the windows. Looks like he put a lot of thought into those. It was funny though that he only talked about the sticky "glue" when we came home. He probably got tired of it like everything else. I'll have to think of other projects you can do together at home. It's so slippery outside and so cold. Today, we went to Sage Farm Market. He had fun catching up with the store keepers. They hadn't seen him in a long time and were worried. They knew his name, of course.

Isn't the gingerbread house cool! He did a really good job on it. He did put a lot of thought in it, I didn't think he would spend that much time on it. I've found it you talk it up, he will say that he is proud of it or give you that smile of his and you can tell, ya know?
I'm glad he went to the Japan marker, he hasn't wanted to do that lately, I'm glad you took him. I'll have to take him more often.
