George was transferred yesterday from the 6th floor to the 5th floor. His nurse and CNA today are really nice. PT came in today at 1:30 and had him walk to the door. He's walking pretty good today and talking a little bit, and just more himself. He had some ravioli for lunch and ate all of that and a little of the rest. We went for a ride down to the lobby and then came back and I helped him to get in the shower. Dressings were covered but they still got a little wet. I helped change them and then had him get in a chair and he read the paper and took a nap. I'll stay through dinner to make sure he eats his dinner and to wait to hear about discharge instructions. It's getting late for discharge, maybe tomorrow?

George is still up at the U of U but might be going home tomorrow or Wednesday. Probably Wednesday. He was up in the chair today and went for a ride in the wheelchair around the nurses station today. It was nice for him to get out of his room and see who and what is going on outside of his room. Sharon even got to skype with George today and talk to the nurses and one of the Dr's. He's doing good! 

After the appointment at the U of U, they decided to admit George into the hospital for I.V. antibiotics. It took awhile to get a room but I'm sure it was nice for him to rest in a bed. I stayed with him in his room til Dennis came up. George might be here over the weekend.

We had an appointment at the U of U burn clinic today. They gave us more gauze for dressing changes. We made an appointment for Friday at 3:00 to see if the antibiotics they gave today are working. We went to the pharmacy, listened to someone play the piano and then to his pharmacy at Macey's to pick them up. He came home and took a nap on the couch, watched T.V. and had his antibiotics and some dinner. 

Poor George :( his foot ended up being a burn. I took him to Alta View Hospital Senior Clinic and they gave me creme to put on it. He will have someone come on T&TH for wound care. He has an appt. On Wednesday at the U of U burn clinic. He got to see Sharon for a bit today and I had him do a couple of exercises before I had him sit with his foot up. He sure is a trooper.

George was outside sitting on the porch with his robe on. We went inside and he took a shower. He's moving really slow today. He had lunch out on the patio, I gave him a break from exercises today but tried to get him to do some exercises sitting down. He wanted nothing to do with that. His foot is a little red and swollen, I put an ice pack on it and will watch it. We saw this bird on her nest out by the deck. It was a mellow day today.

Today was supposed to be a skype day, but I forgot. George's PTA asked if she could come today. I got George up and ready and we ate outside and waited for Amber. When he was done we went to get George's hair cut. We went to get a shake after and drove around. He sat outside when we got back. He's been helping me make his shakes the last couple times he's had them. He likes to help and has that proud smile on his face ;)

Even though George was up and pretty much ready to go, we had a late start today. We went up to Snowbird. It was really pretty, everything was closed though. I thought it would be a lot busier than it was. We walked all over and found a couple trails to take too. It was a pretty day in the mountains. George sat outside with a drink when we got back.
