When I came over today George was laying on his bed. After he got ready I made him some lunch at home, he wanted to do that and it was a yucky day anyway. Before we started lunch we put some sweet rolls in the oven and put icing on them during lunch and had one of those too. ;) After we were done with lunch, I got out three different activities for George to choose from, he didn’t seem to enthused to do any of them. I got out the Bingo game and he wanted to play that, we played for quite awhile; he kept winning and grinning at me every time he won. He was really into it. It’s really good for memory. When he was done with that I got him ready for a shower. After his shower he came and asked me what he was supposed to do next. I had him help me empty the dishwasher, then we looked at pictures. I put one of the pictures in a photo book and left the others out for him to put in. Did you know that David is Mamiyo's husband? ;)
His BP was 138/72 and his weight with sandles was 9o lbs.

George was asleep in his robe when I came over today. He was tired and just wanted to rest but after he got going we went to lunch cause he decided he wanted to go eat first, he was “Hungry right now.” At lunch he kept asking if all the different places he was looking at were coffee shops. After lunch, I took him to get a hair cut and when I pulled up to the barber shop he said “Oh do I need a hair cut?” I told him it was getting really long. He was really happy when Yao told him that his brother was in on Tuesday. He gave her a really nice tip too :) He was saying how good she is ;) We came home and he talked to Sharon on skype.

We didn’t get going til late cause we had to find hearing aids. George found them! We ended up eating at home cause it was late. He went out and checked the mail, his check came today. We went to the store to deposit it (He was telling the teller that he wants to deposit into savings every time, and he wants them to do it) I guess direct deposit? We’ll see what he says next month ;) we did a little shopping afterwards too.

George was watching a women’s championship golf game when I came over today. He was really into it so we watched the rest of the game; it was being played in Singapore. After wards he did his routine of getting ready and then he read the paper while I fixed him some lunch. After lunch we played 2 games of Ker Plunk, he won both times. :) (He didn't want to play anymore after that.) We went for a drive and then he came home and took a shower.

Today when I came over, George was busy picking things up off the floor. I mentioned getting a plant (Wednesday we put a stool in front of the living room mirror. He wants to put a plant there from Planet Jungle). He said “I want to go there one more time.” It’s really windy today! We went to lunch first at Pei Wei. It was really noisey. He spent most of the time watching the employees. We went to Planet Jungle and picked up a plant. The one he wanted was $98.00! and it wasn’t even real. It was a tall bonsai type tree. He ended up getting a palm tree. We went to Beans and Brews after wards to read the paper and have coffee. We came home and put the plant in the living room. It looks really good :) we talked to Sharon for a bit too and looked at the pictures she sent along with his Birthday card. I mentioned a couple times going to get a hair cut, he said “Not today, next time.” No pictures today, I forgot my phone.

George was up when I came over today. He talked for an hour! :) It was so nice. Lately he has been so tired he hardly wants to talk at all. He was telling me things about Fran, talking about the dinner last night and just talking away. I got out the cards to help him decide where to go eat. Out of all of them he chose Hires! I even had the sushi cards out. Guess he felt like a hamburger. I asked him what he wanted to do next and he said "Just go around, I'm in no hurry to get home." I don't think he's said that before! That was nice to hear, usually I have talk him out of going home. He was really active and talkative today. It was a nice change from how the norm as been lately. After lunch we stopped by Planet Jungle on 7200 South I’ve always wondered about that place. George really liked it. He said he wanted to go home to find a place for a plant. We’ll be back ;) I stopped at Message Envy to get info on massages. He said “That’s just for women.” I told him it was for men too. We also stopped by the senior center I wanted to see what that place is all about. We got there as they were closing. He talked to Sharon and David on skype too. Friday George said he wanted to try Pei Wei it’s an Asian diner. Today was a good day :)

Dennis, Tom, Fran and George picked me up and we all drove out to Utah Noodle Parlor in Ogden to celebrate George’s and Mamiyo’s Birthdays. George is 94 and Mamiyo is 86. It was really fun :) Patty, Dan, and Sarah were there too. He was trying to tell me he was 90 when I asked him how old he was. I told him he was 94; he smiled and said “Close enough.”

HAPPY 94TH BIRTHDAY GEORGE!!!

It is really snowy today. I think we will stay inside. I’ll let him choose an activity or art project. When he was getting ready I asked him if he knew what tomorrow was. I told him it was his Birthday and he just smiled and said “Oh gaul” I said “Just another day?” he said “Ya”. Tom and Fran came over and visited for a bit. After they left George worked on a cup for Mamiyo’s Birthday. It turned out cute ;)
