George wanted to go to lunch at harmons today. He looked around for awhile then picked out chicken, potato salad and lemonade. He needed to go home for a little then we went to Wasatch Shadows and picked out some tulip and daffodil bulbs. He was looking around there for awhile. Everything there was “So expensive” He bought a bird wind chime. I hung it outside by the pond for him. I had to make sure the other two things were hung evenly ;) sometimes he can be very particular.

We went to a new place for lunch today, I can’t remember the name but it’s up by the pet store. He liked the hot wings. They had TV’s ALL over, it was weird. He chose to go to Living Planet Aquarium today. We saw some of the same things and other new exhibits. He said the same thing about the octopus though. When he first saw it he said “Those taste good” :/ it was a fun day :)
His BP was 130’s/63 and his weight was 89 lbs.

George had eaten a little lunch by the time I came over. I brought some pumpkins over today for us to carve. George made the outline of his face and I cut it out for him. He made sure he cleaned his out really well :) He did a good job and was admiring it from all angles. He even went in and came back with a hoodie on. He was laughing about it and when he was talking to Sharon on skype, he kept looking at himself. It was funny. Our pumpkins are on the porch :)

Today we were going to go to a park and work on George’s rock box. Since we were in yesterday, I wanted to get him out for a bit. We ended up at the top of Alta. He spent a lot of time finding rocks up there. He was saying that they were over 100 years old. I had handfuls of rocks; I had to keep taking them to my car so I could get more from him. He did admire the view too ;)

When I came over today George was at the table with his rocks. He was sorting them and looking at them. I thought we would work on his box a little since he was into the rocks today. He spends a lot of time getting exactly the rocks he wants and placing them where he wants them. The weather was kind of yucky today. We had lunch at home.
His BP was 130’s/60’s and his weight was 89 lbs.

When George was ready to go today we went and got his watch fixed. He was telling me how to get there ;) He had said he wanted to go to lunch at “The place on the corner, not the Chinese place we went to last time.” The place we went to lunch is called Britton’s (It's in Union Square by the place we got his watch fixed, he noticed it from last time). The waitress there was really nice; George said “She’s tall.” She called him Pops ;) it was cute. When we were done with lunch there was a store next to the restaurant that he was interested in but they were closed. We went and he got his haircut and on the way home it was sunny. I asked him if he liked his new sunglasses, he said “Oh ya they help a lot.” (Dennis was telling me he was wearing his sunglasses in the house the other day).

I got his weight today and it was 89 lbs. and his BP was 143/63

George’s watch is broken again. We went in to get it fixed but I forgot they were closed on Monday’s. We’ll go back on Wednesday. He even remembered how to get there. We had lunch at a Chinese place by the watch shop. (I can’t remember the name). I had to leave early to do things for work. I’ll get weight and BP on Wednesday. Sugarhouse park

We went to Hog Wallow for lunch today. I’ve been wanting to take George there for awhile.

We ate outside and when he walked outside he said “Oh, this is nice!” He really liked it and was saying he would like it if there were about 20-30 people having a party and drinking. “Good place for a party”. We took a long time at lunch cause it was nice outside, he even wore his sunglasses :) after lunch we went in and played a game of pool. Fun day :)

We have about the same weather as we did as on Monday. George was tired today; didn’t talk a lot and was distracted. When he was ready to go I got out the flashcards on some places to eat, he chose ihop. After lunch we went to get a battery for his watch. The place we went to on Monday was closed. The lady working there really liked him :) we came home and worked on his project for his glasses. He placed each and every rock on by hand. He has great dexterity.

Today is cold and rainy. We had lunch inside today then went to the credit union to cash George’s check. He got some sun glasses today at the store :) His watch battery is out so we stopped by a watch repair place to get a new battery, they were closed :( we’ll try again on Wednesday. We came home and he started a project. A place to keep his glasses, he is doing it with rocks.
His weight was 88 lbs. and BP was 120's over 60's

George wanted to go see the jumpers in Park City today. Dennis was home and said that they were all done with that for the year :( George wanted to go up anyway just to check it out and make sure ;). We drove up to Park City and had lunch at Squatters then to the Olympic Park, No jumpers…We drove into Park City on Main Street. We went to an art gallery, a book store and a clothing store where he tried on some sunglasses, they were too expensive ;) He really liked a glass vase in the art gallery but it was too expensive too ;)

George had an appointment today at the podiatrist; we went to lunch first at Denny's (He chose) I think because it was in a shopping center. It was a quick lunch. We went to the Dr's after wards and then drove to Sugarhouse Park. There were a lot of ducks and geese there today. George walked up a hill by a tree, put his cane on one of the branches and was doing exercises ;) he layed down and rested for a bit. He said the weather was "Just right". He found a rock that we brought home from the park. When we came home he finished his lunch He's been eating really well lately. When I first came over, there were clothes on the living room floor. I asked him why they were there and he said he did his laundry. I asked him why they were on the floor and he said "cause I took them out of the dryer". He put them away. He's been doing a lot lately. Putting the dishes in the dishwasher and cleaning up after himself etc. It's nice to see that :)

Today was a really nice day, I suggested we go on a picnic to Silver Lake up at Brighton. We stopped at Harmon's first and got some lunch to take with us. George chose a sandwich, potato salad and cookies with sprinkles ;) We sat at a picnic table and ate lunch and then after wards we went around the lake. It was a really pretty day and the sun looked really pretty on the leaves. When we first got there we saw a man coming back from catching a fish. George said "Remember last time we were here, we saw a guy catch a fish."

Thanks Sharon for the back pack, it came in really handy!

Weight today was 89 lbs without shoes and BP was 131/70

It was a nice day today! George wanted to go up to the mountains to get more rocks “It’s just right up there” I asked him if he meant Snowbird, he said “Ya that’s the place!” He didn’t want to take his glass jar; he wanted to get a new one. I guess he wants to keep them all separate. I figure he will have enough rocks to last him through out the winter. Pamela (The girl at the shop) was there again today. She was the one that gave George the good deal last time ;) She came out and talked to him and watched him find more rocks. He found some really neat rocks this time. He said it was the best he’s gotten so far. I was asking him a question and he said “I know more about this than you do”. Oh really? ;) We had a late lunch (Blake fed him a donut and coffee before I got there) we went to the deli and got a sandwich to share, it was huge again! We ate outside. The leaves are looking so pretty in the mountains. :)
(I forgot my phone to take pics. I didn’t have it for a week and have gotten used to not having it with me all the time). Thanks for the Birthday gift George from Red Butte Gardens! ;)

I came over today, it was good to see George and hear about his week. Believe it or not it was really windy and rainy :/ I made lunch at home, showed George my pictures that I brought with me and showed him the pictures on my camera. He was glad I had a good time. I showed him some of the videos too. He liked them. We washed his rocks that Sharon brought back from the lake and added oil to them to make them shine (Great idea Sharon) He worked on one of his past projects a little bit too.
His weight today was 89 lbs. and his BP was about 118/70

I didn’t go over today; I still had post vacation things to get done. But I will see George on Wednesday! :)

September 11th-19th I will be out of town on vacation :) Blake will be staying over at the house and Sharon will be out for the weekend. I think Mamiyo might be staying over too.

Today I spent a little while making sure George had everything he needed for the week. I know Dennis and the boys will check and make sure too but I guess it’s a girl thing ;) Dennis had already given him some lunch. I was doing last minute errands and came over around 1:00, we were going to make his necklace but he decided he didn’t want to do that. We ended up going for a walk at the park (After I found George, he was doing laundry ;) ). We walked around the park and he saw a house that he said he should have “bought that one” we sat on the grass and enjoyed the weather. When we got home he got in the shower. (I wasn’t able to stay too long today).
His weight today was 88lbs. (Without shoes) and his BP was about 140/65

We didn’t get out of the house til a little bit later today; George had to find his wallet. After we found it, he wanted to go to Mt. Fugi for lunch. (Its close too, he hadn’t had anything yet to eat). After lunch, we went to a bead store to ask about making him a bracelet with his favorite rock from Snowbird. We ended up going to Hobby Lobby and picking out some things for him to make a necklace on Friday. When he got home, he talked to Sharon on skype for a little bit. It was a cool and windy day today.
