Today was such a nice day! Perfect weather :) we had lunch outside on the patio and looked at the clouds. George saw an airplane saying it was going to San Francisco. He said how nice it would be to go ‘through the clouds’. After lunch we picked flowers from the yard and brought them inside. We REALLY need a vase. We ended up using the blender for a vase. (We'll have to get some).

Since today is the start of Memorial Day weekend, I thought we should go to the cemetery. I was telling George about a new place downtown called Last Samurai, (He was saying he wanted to go to a Japanese place). Lunch was fun, it’s a place where you can either sit at the sushi bar or sit at a …(I forgot what it’s called, but it’s one of those tables where they cook your food right in front of you). He liked it. :) Afterwards we went to the store to pick up some flowers then headed over to the cemetery, it was busy today. (George was ready to go today within about a half hour).

When I came over today, George said he enjoyed when my Mom came over yesterday. (We stopped by for just a few minutes, it was her BD and we were in the area). He has a lot more flowers outside today. We had a little bit of a late start, my fault. We had coffee and talked for a few minutes, then went to lunch at Simply Thai in Sandy. He really liked it! He ate everything, and even commented on how nice the place was too. I tried to find Cactus and Tropicals afterwards, but we ended up on a long drive instead ;) (I couldn’t find it! Now I know it’s on 20th east, not 23rd). I took more pictures today, but my phone isn't working now.
His weight today was 100 lbs. and his BP was 132/70.

Today when I came over George was still in his robe. It took him awhile to get dressed, he was pretty tired and had a busy weekend, and I think it just wore him out. I tried to get him to go out a few times, but I didn’t want to push today. (I can tell when I can and today wasn’t one of those days). He did get dressed and then we did a little cleaning, then had lunch outside and just talked, it was nice. Even though he was tired, he was more alert today than he has been. When we were outside he was saying that he thinks there are ‘others’ out there (He was looking up at the sky). I took pictures today, but I have a new phone and am still trying to figure it out. I will post them when I can.

We had a few things to do today. We went to deposit George’s income tax check, and then had lunch at a Mexican place right next door to the bank called Rancho Burito. He said “Can we go there?” I’m glad he decided! :) We were going to go to the cemetery for Mothers Day on Friday but didn’t get a chance, we went today instead. He also wanted to buy flowers for other grave sites too. (I will be coming over on Thursday this week instead of Friday, due to the funeral on Friday).

Weight today was back up to 100 lbs. and BP was 120/80. (He remembered that my weight was lower last week!)

On Tuesday, we did the laundry but it didn’t get put away. We finished doing that today. I found some shirts that he hasn't worn and put those in the front of his closet. We went out to lunch at Kowloon Café after we were done. We were going to deposit his State tax check then go to the cemetery for Mothers Day, we will have to do that on Tuesday instead.

My computer has been out of commission. I am posting blogs for Tues. 4-28, Fri. 5-1 and Tues. 5-5.

Tuesday April 28th we went to get George's hair cut then went to lunch at a Chinese restaurant close by. (I'm always getting asked if I am his daughter). His new neighbors had made him cookies last week; we went to the store to find something for them. We couldn't decide on what to do. We decided that on Friday we would pick flowers and take them over.

His weight was 101 lbs. and BP was 142/63.

Friday May 1st We decided to go to lunch at Out Of The Box. We went to cash his check first. We picked flowers for the neighbors and took them over to them. One of the girls was outside and was SO happy to see George and to get the flowers. :) I guess the little girls come over quite a bit (One of them drew him a picture last week, how cute is that)? I have one more pic on photobucket of Geroge picking flowers.

Tuesday May 5th was our cleaning day. Dennis had mentioned that he didn't get to bed until about 4am! He was still in bed when I came over. We had a late brunch and coffee then started laundry and cleaning. I picked some of the blossoms on the trees and brought them inside. We even planted one of his plants outside and cleaned out part of the flower beds. His weight was 98 lbs. (Mine was less too). I'm sure he will be back up next week.

His BP was in the range of 130's/70's.

Today George said he didn’t feel good, I couldn’t get him to tell me why though. He may have just been tired. He was sleeping when I came over. It sure took a loooong time to get him even to go out! We went to lunch at Woody’s drive in, he actually picked it this time! (The people there loved him) :) He hasn’t been caring where we go lately. We stopped by to get his haircut afterwards but they closed early today. We will go back next week. We need to make or send some cookies or something to his neighbors. They sent over a plate of cookies to him :)
