The flowers look better on the rocks ;)

George was really tired and weak today. After his shower, we had some lunch outside and then I had him paint a little birdhouse. It turned out cute :) He sat outside and enjoyed the weather. He even went out on the front porch later on.

George had his lunch skype with Sharon today instead of Friday. He got up late, took a shower, got ready and did exercises and then had lunch. After lunch with Sharon, we went for a walk outside. It was a nice day but I think he enjoyed it more when he wasn't walking ;) He sat out on the porch when we got back. I think he likes the breeze outside and the movement. 

Today is Memorial Day so I just stayed for a couple hours. George was up and pretty much ready to go. We picked up something to eat and drove to Willow Creek park. It wasn't too busy at that park. We had room to sit down. I should have known better than to get a hamburger for him. Even broken up, he had a hard time with it. He was really distracted too. We came home and I gave him his shake to finish and made him something I knew he could eat. He sat out on the porch, ate and took a nap.

George had a lunch skype with Sharon. Rachel and Willow were here and Sharon got to see them too. Willow was so cute; talking and smiling. When George was done with skype, we went for a walk. He did a good job :) We got back just before it started raining. He did his exercises when he got in too! I gave him something to drink and turned on the T.V. for him. 

After I got George up and ready, we did his exercises and then practiced walking. He did so much better today than on Monday! :) We had a little to eat out on the patio; it was nice weather. We drove to Wheeler Farm and walked over to a bench and sat and watched kids and the ducks. We sat in front of where they had planted lettuce, sage, cilantro, radishes... all kinds of things. We drove around Wheeler Farm and looked at the animals that were out, then went for a little ride and then home. I got him more to eat and drink and turned on the T.V. for him.

Today we went to the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point. When we were there for the Tulip Festival, we saw the building. The grand opening was last week. It's a great place for kids! The gardens were cool to walk through and had lots of tunnels and little ponds, a sandbox, play equipment, and trails that lead to discovery play. Inside was hands on with Water play, sand box, wind tunnel, rope bridges... lots of sensory stimulation. Great place for kids. There was a little place that we stopped to eat before we left. We did George's exercises first before we left and he was having a really hard time standing up straight and walking. He kept wanting to lean way over. I gave Amber, his PTA a heads up for tomorrow.

George had a visit from Amber, his PTA. I let her get George up and do his exercises herself. That way he will be comfortable with her on Tuesday. I took a picture of her so that on Monday's I can show him and remind him she will be coming the next day. He did a really good job with her. He had a skype lunch with Sharon afterwards. (I brought in some flowers from outside for George to enjoy while he is inside).

Enjoying the simple things

Today was a nice day! When I got George up and ready, we did exercises had lunch out on the patio. He was cleaning out a planter and looking at the flowers, the sky and the birds. Amber, his Physical Therapist came over and had him go for a walk and do some more exercises. She will be back on Friday to see him again and then on Tuesday's and Thursday's after that. I made George something to eat and drink. He sat in his chair and took a nap. I think we wore him out for the day. 

We went to Gardner Village today. We went and had lunch first at their bakery/cafe and as we were leaving it started to rain. It was raining and windy and didn't look like it would let up, so instead of looking around we came back to the house. (I need an umbrella). George watched T.V. and had a snack.

Today was rainy and cloudy; thunder too! George had his lunch Skype with Sharon and then we did exercises today. He did such a good job and he didn't even need reminding. The sun came out so we took advantage of that and went for a walk, then sat out on the swing. I set his bike up but he didn't want to use it. He sat on his chair by the window and watched the neighbors.

George must be tired, he was still in bed. We had lunch at the house, it was kind of funny he kept putting his fork up like he was saying hi to someone outside. We turned today into a cleaning day. I did my cleaning and I gave George a bag to put the stuff on the floor in (Cherry blossom petals and just 'stuff'). He cleaned the whole floor and then had a snack and watched T.V. and took a nap. I put some pictures out on the table for him to look at. 
He added to the spring tree and I'll add the pic when I get it.

Today was crazy for me. I couldn't find anything! We drove past the new Living Planet Aquarium the other day, but do you think I could find it today? I even looked up directions! Oh well, it's not going anywhere. I was driving to a place to eat and I couldn't find that either! Crazy. George did some walking for his exercise today.

Sharon had a meeting today, George had a skype lunch while Sharon was at work at the college. He got to see her school and visit for a bit.
