I'll be staying at the house starting tomorrow. Trev has a ski comp. Today after George's shower we had some  lunch and coffee. We worked on his gem stone project today. We got three of them out! We will finish the rest another day. I looked all around the house and couldn't find him I thought he was hiding. He was downstairs ;)

I came over a little early today. George was dressed and taking a nap and I let him wake up on his own. It was a nice day today! We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. There were a lot of airplanes in the sky today. We watched the the neighbor's, and the mailman too. ;) We did his exercises and then I thought we would go to the park before we get on skype with Sharon today. I fixed a smoothie and then we went to the park. He had a good time watching the kids. He pointed to a lady and said "She has pretty hair". We came back and he ate and then had a piece of cake with Sharon on skype. 

We went to Sugarhouse Park today. There was a guy there that was flying his motorized airplane, it was fun to watch. Another guy had his metal detector looking for stuff and other people walking their dogs. It was a nice day. He was talking a little bit today. :)

Happy 97th Birthday George!
We went to Cactus and Tropicals today so he could pick out his own arrangement this year. Thanks Sharon :) good idea. He picked out some nice plants and flowers. We watched them put it all together for him. When we got back, we got on Skype with Sharon and David and he decorated his Birthday cake that we made on Wednesday. We all went out to dinner for his Birthday at Chinese Gourmet. Fran,Tom, Patty and Dan, Ryan, Rachel and Willow, Trevor, Dennis, me and and of course Mamiyo were all there to celebrate with them. They each had a Birthday balloon and big cards. Dennis bought some numbered candles and he put those in George and Mamiyo's dessert. A few of us came back to the house and had a Birthday drink. :)

It started off being a snowy day. We made a Birthday cake and we'll frost it and decorate it on Friday. We might take it with us to dinner ;) Sharon mentioned going to Cactus and Tropicals to let George pick out his own flower arrangement for his 97th Birthday! We worked on a crystal project while we waited for the cake. George was really into it! He spent a good amount of time breaking open a plaster brick to find gem stones. We didn't quite make it all the way through but will finish it another day. I set out the plaster 'dust' for him to keep him occupied (He was trying to make something with it).

George had a podiatrist appt today. I got him in the shower first and cleaned up; did laundry...He did a really good job on his exercises today! He was walking and balancing really well :) best ever! He had a little to eat before we left. His new podiatrist seems like a nice guy, we made another appt. In 6 weeks. We went up to Alta and watched the skiers for a bit and then took the long way home. When we got back he was hungry so I made him something to eat and some coffee too. We had a cup of coffee together before I left. I was showing him earlier that it's his Birthday on Friday and his eyes got all big ;) Dennis was talking about taking him and Mamiyo and everyone out for his Birthday.

Well with all the entries at the Senior Center I guess George didn't win the Valentine's basket, or at least one of them. :/ He was up and in his robe today, I got him in the shower and ready for lunch with Sharon on Skype. Ryan, Rachel and Willow came to visit. Sharon got to see Willow but she was hungry and crying a little. George and Sharon had a nice Skype lunch and then we worked on exercises. George shaved and then he cleaned the bathroom.

Dennis got George ready to go to the Senior Center today to go and make soap. I was so glad he was up and ready! :)  He did a lot of walking today. I entered him in a raffle that will be held on the 12th. I think he has about 30 entries! We came back to the house and he got in the shower and then had a late lunch Skype with Sharon.. He showed her and David the soaps he made :)

Today was a nice day but cold and a little windy. We went for a drive up to the mountains, it snowed yesterday and was pretty outside. When we came down the mountain, we stopped at Beans and Brews and had coffee, looked at magazines and read the paper. I fixed George a snack when we got back. It was a relaxing day.
Friday is soap making day. Hopefully we can make it to that and if not, next time.

Today after George was ready, we drove downtown to the courthouse. I got a summons for Jury duty! It was scheduled for when I won't be here. I rescheduled for later on. We went to Sage market after and George picked up a couple things. He had a snack when we got back and got to see Willow. He was smiling and waving hi to her.
