After George got up and got dressed we did his exercises and then he had lunch. We went and finally got his hair cut! I’ll bet it feels so good to get it cut. We went for a drive, looked at the changing leaves and the Halloween decorations and then went out to his old house in Holladay. He didn't recognize it this time. When we got back, he went outside and cleaned the leaves off of the table and chairs and picked up his birdhouses. I had him do a word search and then sit in the messaging chair. 

George had an eye appointment today. I helped to get him ready and then he had lunch. We went to the eye appointment and then to a couple stores to look around. It was windy and I think we came home at the right time. It was getting really windy! It’s supposed to snow later on. George watched some golf, had a snack and some coffee.

George has a soap making class today at the Senior Center. Dennis helped me get him

ready to go. I fixed him a shake before we left. He did a good job making soap today! There was a lady that is from Japan that was trying to talk to him in Japanese but he was saying he couldn't hear. Everyone seems happy to see him when he goes there. We didn't have time to do exercises today but he was walking really well at the Senior Center. When we got back we got the pumpkin seeds ready to get in the oven and then he had a late lunch with Sharon on skype. 

George was taking a nap when I got to the house. I got everything ready to carve pumpkins. It’s a nice day; we will be carving them outside. When he woke up and was ready, we did his exercises, had lunch and then carved the pumpkins. He did SO good! I drew 3 faces for him to choose from. I gave him the paper and a marker and he drew the face on the pumpkin and even cut it all out. I just helped to clean it up a little. The pumpkins were really easy to carve with the little saws we used. We cleaned up and took our pumpkins out to the front porch. I cleaned the seeds while George watched the neighbors work and then he took a nap.

Today is a really nice day! After George had his shower and did his exercises and was

ready to go, we went and cashed his check at the store and then went to Wheeler Farm’s Pumpkin Day’s. We went through the hay maze and picked out a couple of pumpkins to carve this week. We bought some duck food too and fed the ducks, looked at all the animals; the horses, cows, sheep, goats, ducks and geese and the baby pigs. All the animals were out today. When we got back I made him something to eat and cleaned off the pumpkins so they will be ready to carve.

Today George had lunch with Sharon on skype. We had some computer problems but he

got to see her and Scout and visit with them for about an hour. He ate a lot for lunch today! :) I bought some things to make a wreath the other day and we made that today. He had to arrange all the leaves first ;) he did a good job and I think it turned out really good! He wanted to put it on the door; it’s on the wall for now. I’ll have to see if I can put it on the door for him. We'll go out next week and get pumpkins to carve. 

I had to wake George up today. He got in the shower and then when he was ready we drove down to South Towne mall. I don’t know how we spent so much time there but we did. We looked around, stopped and had lunch and looked around for a little bit more. I had to leave when we got back and he was finishing a shake at the table. I have a fall activity that we might do on Friday after skype.

From what I heard George had quite the morning! He was very busy earlier.  On the way in to take a shower, I had him do his exercises. After his shower we had some lunch at home and then went to the Senior Center to exercise/ride the bike. On the way in, there were a couple people that were glad to see him; it made him smile. One lady said “I always like to see him come in” and another guy said “Their waiting for you down in the exercise room…” and that he should make me do the work.  He did a lot of exercises; he even worked out with the weights and did some leg exercises too. I was going to stop and get us some coffee but I forgot money so we came home and had coffee together. He had pumpkin cookies too. ;) I found some of the Halloween decorations downstairs. He played with those too. Out of no where a hail storm came and left within 5 minutes. I’m glad we weren't out in that :/ 

George had his Friday lunch skype with Sharon today. He even got to meet some of their neighbors. He ate all of his lunch and was busy ‘cleaning’. He was going to take a short nap but he didn't want to. I had him get on his shoes and then he decided on a nap. We were going to go out but his short nap turned into a long one. I left him a snack and something to drink before I left. 

I had to wake George up today. He slept all day yesterday! After he was ready we did his exercises and then he had a shake. We went and got his flu shot at Walgreen’s. Thanks for the reminder Sharon! :) We looked around the store and at the Halloween decorations, he wasn't too into that. Usually I’ll get a grin when I put on a mask. ;) We took a drive up to the mountains to see the changing leaves. It was pretty. Mountains of orange and yellow. I made him something to eat before I left.

George was sitting outside on the porch in his robe, it was a nice day. He wasn't quite ready to come in yet so we sat outside for a bit, enjoyed the weather and watched the neighbor’s and the mailman. When he was ready, he went inside and took a shower. The plan for today was to have a picnic at the park. It ended up being too windy to do that so we went and had lunch and then walked around the mall. He saw someone he knew at Hallmark; Tom Shimizu (sp?) and his wife. He pointed at Godiva so we went in and got a chocolate. When we got back, I got him a snack and he watched TV.

Today is lunch skype day with Sharon. We did George’s exercises first, he was distracted but we got them done and then I showed him pictures of the boys on face book while we were waiting. He wasn't talkative today. Sharon and George ate together and then Georgetook a little bit of a nap. I had him get his shoes on and we went for a drive up to the mountains to see the snow! There was a lot more than I thought. We had to wait for construction on the way down :/ He had a snack, read the paper, watched TV and took a nap when we got back.

We went to the Krishna Temple today. When we got there we went back to the Temple; we took our shoes off first. The girl that was showing us around was explaining things to us and let me take pictures of the Temple. She gave George a rose and blessed him and put a ‘third eye’ on both of us. We looked around the gift shop afterwards at all the Indian things they have. It was interesting. She was talking to George in the gift shop and he said “I’m Japanese, she’s American.” She was a really sweet girl. We went to Wheeler Farm and looked at the pumpkin patch and then to the ‘Halloween house’ to see how it was decorated this year. When we got back, I made George something to eat while he watched golf.
