Wahoo! George was up and dressed and in the living room. I tried to get him to get up but he wasn’t ready yet. I gave him a few minutes then we went back and finished washing his face, teeth etc. We had a little lunch outside on the patio and he was trying to put his food down the patio. :/ He just wanted to stay outside for a long time. I finally got him to go out and we went up to Flat Iron Mesa Park and we walked around the perimeter of the park a couple of times. We saw a couple men up there painting. We went and got a drink and headed up to the mountains. It was a nice day and a nice drive. When we got back, he watched golf. I mentioned to him again that Sharon will be here on Sunday!

I thought we would have an easier day today. After lunch and exercising, I got out the wheelchair and had George walk behind it for a little bit then we went for a really long  walk around different neighborhood’s. We came back and he sat outside on the porch.

Today I thought we would go to Barnyard Buddies. It’s a petting zoo that I’ve been curious about for a while. When I was driving, the address took me to Garner Village! I looked all around but couldn’t find where the petting zoo would have been, so we just ‘walked’ around Garner Village. We stopped in a store to get a drink and walked all over. It was really windy but the wind was nice, it was a hot day. We sat and drank our drinks in the shade and watched the ducks and the people.  Afterwards we went to a place called ‘Asian Store’ I think that’s what it’s called; it had lots of stuff to look at! We found some Bonsai trees and George wanted one so we picked up one of those today. When we got home, he got undressed and into bed! I guess I wore him out.

It took George quite a while to get going today. After his shower and lunch we went to Cactus and Tropical’s. He kind of asked how much some flowers were but waved his hand ‘no’ when I told him the price. We made another trip around and we ended up getting them. They are pretty pink Azalea’s. We looked around inside and walked around and looked at everything outside too. In the car he asked again how much they were. “They were $10.00" ;) We drove through some ‘ranches’ and saw some pretty horses on our drive. He sat on the front porch when we got home. It was a hot day but nice to get out in a cool building.

George got up and dressed for a skype lunch with Sharon. When they were done we drove to World Market and looked around, then for a ‘walk’ over to Office Depot and then to Target. We did a little arm exercises at Target with the weights. He wasn’t too into it. We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home and got a strawberry shake.

(I wasn't sure what to do today, we just drove and ended up at these places. :) )

I thought we would have lunch at the park today. It was too windy to do that so we went to Anna’s for lunch. We worked on his exercises before we left. We stayed at the restaurant for a while and then came home. George was pretty tired. He watched TV and took a nap when we got back.

When George was getting ready, I asked him if he wanted to get his haircut and he nodded a little bit. I fixed him some lunch at home and then when we were ready, we went to see Yao and she cut and washed his hair. We went to Wheeler Farm afterwards and looked at the vintage farm equipment, we saw the cows, horses, sheep, rabbits, geese, goats…too. He didn’t want to leave. It was a nice day.

Today George took quite a while to get in the shower and get dressed. I helped him a little bit and prompted him to do the rest. When He was done, I made him a late lunch and we ate outside on the patio. I had to keep reminding him to eat. He kept falling asleep. I brought him inside to sit on the couch but he wanted to pick stuff up instead. He finally ended up watching TV.

George was super tired today. After he got up (With a lot of prompting) he got dressed and then had a lunch skype with Sharon. Towards the end, he went outside and they skyped outside on the patio. It was a nice day with a cool breeze.  He ate a little bit of lunch and was pointing up towards the sky. Clouds? Nice day? ;) I had him drink an Ensure. He was too tired to do anything else; he couldn’t keep his eyes open. I let him take a nap outside on the patio with the nice weather. I brought him in after a few minutes and he laid down on the couch and I covered him up and turned the TV on. I hope he has a good nap.

After George was up and ready, we did some exercises and then had lunch outside on the patio again. We went and got some ice cream at Dairy Queen and went for a drive. He is really weak today and took a long time to get going. When he got home he wanted to go inside. I turned on golf and he took a nap.

George was dressed and the TV was on when I came over. We got back and finished getting him ready for the day. We had lunch out on the patio. It was a nice day with blue skies. After lunch we went for a walk. He sat on the front porch with a glass of water afterwards. Tomorrow we’ll get out and do something.

I was late today but when George was up and showered we ate lunch outside on the patio. There was a nice breeze. We took a drive out by the Draper area and then to the park and watched kids play soccer. When we got back I got him a couple drinks and a snack. He watched golf and took a nap. He did walking at the park and to and from the car today for his exercise.

George had a shower before his lunch skype with Sharon today. When he saw her on skype he clapped his hands; he was happy to see her :) Afterwards we went for a walk and he was picking mushrooms.

Today I had to get George up early to make it to the luncheon for the seniors over 90. There was a group picture taken and they didn’t have enough chairs! George said “I’ve never been here before.” Tom and Fran were there and sat with us for lunch. There was a piano player during lunch. It was nice to see everyone. It was really raining hard when we left. George came home and read the paper.

Dennis wanted to take George out for a drive to see his friend of 50 years or so. I can’t remember where he lives but it’s by Tremonton!  It was a nice visit. We sat down and talked with him and his wife (I don’t remember their names) but we talked for a while. He was telling George that he was just thinking about him and then we just showed up. Their daughter was there visiting too and stayed for just a few minutes. Dennis brought the picture of them with Frank on the pheasant hunt. He has the same picture too. George pointed at himself and then his friend back and forth. “I know him.”

We stopped and drove through his farm and then to see the Golden stake on the way back.
