Tom and Fran stopped by last night to see George. They brought him some cookies and a card. :) Ryan told him Happy Birthday later that night too.

Before I had to leave this morning I made him some breakfast. When I got back he finished his lunch with Sharon on skype. We did exercises afterwards. He helped me put his clothes away and clean up and fold towels. (He cleaned the table, the floors and the carpet ;) He took a nap after that. Dennis and Trevor will be back tonight. 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!! 96 years old! :)

I had some breakfast with George this morning and gave him some flowers, he picked out the vase yesterday. He was relaxing on the couch afterwards all comfy in his robe. We waited together for the flowers/plants to come from Cactus and Tropical’s. I had him answer the door when they delivered them to him. It was a really nice arrangement from Sharon and David! George liked it and was smiling. He decorated cupcakes with Sharon on skype and then had some lunch with her too. He took a nap for most of the afternoon.

It was a relax full morning. George was tired today and took a really good nap. We went to the store to pick up some cupcakes and stuff to decorate them with and just some other groceries. It will be fun for him to decorate them for his Birthday tomorrow! I’ve been showing him on the calendar that his Birthday is coming up. He’s going to get to spend some of his Birthday with Sharon on skype too :)

When we were at the store, George wasn’t into picking out things for his cupcakes. He did make a couple choices though. He’ll have fun with it tomorrow. We went and had a late lunch-early dinner at Sushi Express. I ordered a take home order for him for tomorrow. We came home and he relaxed.

I had to leave in the morning but set out some things for George to eat if he woke up before I got back. When I came back to the house, I got him in the shower and cleaned up. When he was ready we ate together. He napped a lot today.

Monday February 18, 2013

I came over later in the evening. I explained to George that I was going to stay at the house while Dennis and Trevor are out of state. I got him to bed around midnight. 

George got dressed and then had a lunch skype with Sharon. He showed her the little Buddha snow globe he bought the other day at World Market. He got to visit with David too and one of the kitties. He napped a little and they worked on his exercises and looked at pictures. 

Ryan is taking care of Monday and I’ll be there Tuesday-Friday while Dennis and Trevor are gone.  

How much is it?

I was showing George the coupon from Panda Express. It was for free jumbo shrimp. He looked at it and said “So what”. He didn’t think it really was free. I told him we were going there today. We ate lunch there; I guess it had been pretty busy, they ran out of napkins! I thought we would walk around World Market afterwards so that he could exercise. He didn’t want to get out of the car but once he was inside, he was having fun looking at everything. We would have been in there a lot longer. He walked around the store and he bought a mini snow globe with a Buda inside. He was asking how much it was. When we got back he had some of the juice that we got there too. He looked at his snow globe and then took a nap. 

Dennis had a meeting at the house so we got ready to go and went to lunch at ihop. It was fast and easy. (I’m trying to cut back on hours a little this week). We went for a drive around the mountains and up to LaCaille. They had a pretty ice sculpture up there and it looked pretty in the sun. George was tired today and when we got back to the house I had him get in the shower. He was in his room for a while and when I went to go and check on him, he was asleep on his bed. He looks so comfortable :)

(Dennis and Trevor have another ski comp next week so I’ll be over here while they are gone). 

Before I left this morning I made sure George had something to eat. He was taking a nap when I left; he got up early this morning. When I got back I had him get dressed to have a lunch skype with Sharon. It was a lazy day yesterday; neither one of us even got dressed! We did get his exercises don’t though ;) The weather was cold and snowy today, not a really good day. Just another relaxing day. He did do some exercises with Sharon while they were on skype. He was tired afterwards and took a nap. If he’s up to it later, I’ll do more exercises with him.

George had a good night’s sleep last night. I made him some oatmeal and coffee this morning and then when he was ready, we did his exercises and then went to get his haircut; it was getting pretty long. I asked him if he was hungry, he said yes. We went to Oh Mai for lunch (It’s a place that Dennis told me about). George had some pho. It's a nice and homey place. We went to the store after that to pick up a few things and to cash his check. He got to ride the cart today and did a pretty good job. When we got home he had a snack and took a nap.

George brought in the chair from outside and was watching T.V. He looked so comfy in his pajamas :) we went back and he took a nice warm shower. When he was ready to go we took a long drive to the downtown/University area. We couldn’t do the Capitol tour today so we ended up at Shanghai restaurant. We were there for a really long time. I think he likes it ;) It was dark when he got home.

(Dennis and Trevor will be out of town from Tuesday evening until Friday evening. I’ll be around while they are gone.)

Today we went to the Senior Center for another soap making class. He made some valentines soap. They turned out really good. He came home and had a late lunch skype with Sharon. he showed her and David the soaps that he made. The weather was finally nice today! We could even see the sky :)
