George seemed a little confused today. After he got dressed, I made him some lunch and some coffee. I guess I was talking too much, he gave me the 'shhhhh' sign ;) We worked on his exercises and then decorated the tree. We decorated it for Valentine’s Day. He put a few stickers on some of the hearts and then we put up some of the smaller snowflakes back on the tree too. He was worn out after that. I covered him up and he took a nap with one of his animals.

The birdhouse is still holding up!

I was running late today and when I got to the house, George was eating a bowl of oatmeal. He was looking at his rocks, I mentioned putting more on his box that he has and he said that he wanted to do that. I had him get in the shower first and then when he was ready we worked on his box. I fixed him some lunch afterwards. He was looking at the painting on the wall and saying that it was “Over there”. We did his exercises afterwards and he did really well!  (When we went to Dr. Bakers last week the M.A.said that his gait was getting better). He was still practicing punching afterwards ;)

It’s a bad air quality day today. After George was ready we went up to Alta, I figured we could get out of this weather. We were going to go to the lodge and eat and watch skiers. It was too cold and windy when we were up there; we were out in it for a little bit but just ended up coming back down and going for a drive.  We went to a new place to eat; he was telling the girl that he used to live ‘over there’. When she asked how long ago he looked at me and said “How long was it?” and he told her it was about 30 years ago. He was talking a little bit but was kind of quiet today. When we were heading home he told me it was ‘too cold.’ He had a sweet roll when he got home. Tomorrow we will skype with Sharon.

Today George has an Apt. with Dr. Baker. After he got up I had him get in the shower and then get ready to go. Dr. Baker said he is doing well and we will see him again in three months.  We went to go and get something to eat afterwards, the lady at Anna’s called him by name when he walked in, it made him smile. He was hungry today. We stopped by Dr. Jones office to make an apt. but he was out sick. He came home and got his robe on and turned on the fireplace.

George was up eating at the table. He went back and got ready to have a lunch skype with Sharon; he even put gel in his hair ;) We used my computer today. Tom and Fran came over for a visit and got to see Sharon too. After they left, George and Sharon did exercises together. He did a good job :) He was walking around for a bit then read some of the paper and took a nap on the couch.

On the way down the mountain into the inversion
George got ready then we watched Sumo, I fixed him some lunch while he watched it. After lunch I got him all bundled up and we went for a drive. It’s gotten a little warmer in the valley but still cold. We just went for a drive up to the mountains to get out of this inversion. It was pretty up there. When we got back to the house we worked on the ginger bread house again. He was anxious to put it all together at once. I’m not sure if the roof will stay on though. I took a picture of it anyway so you could see what he did with it and how he decorated it.

It had a yellow handle on the door that fell off

It has been really cold for a few days (I think the high today was 14 degrees). I kept George inside again today. We worked on his exercises and his walking; he did really well. :) I made lunch and we watched Sumo together. We worked on one of the houses from the Gingerbread Mill Village Kit. There was so much on top of the roof that the house kind of slid apart  :/  I have it set aside to do again another day. It’s cute though. He took a nice warm shower afterwards.

Last night it snowed a lot and roads were bad today. I didn’t want to take George out in this weather. He was asleep anyway when I came over. I let him know I was here and finally had to get him up. He had lunch and finished it with Sharon on skype. We played domino’s a few times in his room and then sorted the buttons. He was sorting them by color. I set his chair up in his room so we could go somewhere different to play with the dominos and so he could look out the window and see the snow.
(When I was leaving I thought I would go and turn on the light so it wouldn't be so dark for him when he woke up. I went in and he was still sorting the buttons! I thought for sure he would be taking a nap. I'm glad I turned the light on so he could see what he was doing ;) )

George was watching me out the window when I drove up. We went back and got him ready for the day. I fixed him some of Sharon’s soup and after lunch, we did his exercises then made snowflakes for the tree. We took down the Christmas ornaments and put up some snowflakes for winter :) I put a blanket on him and made a couple more snowflakes. Dennis and Trevor came home and I had them make a snowflake for the tree too ;)

George was up watching TV and ready to go. He even had his hair combed and his shoes on; we just had to do a couple things. We went to Fashion Place mall and looked around in the stores. We tried some tea at Teavana; they have speciality teas and he said “Not for me”. We had a veggie hot dog on a stick (Thanks for the idea Sharon). The time went really fast at the mall, it always does. But it was fun just looking around and watching people at the mall.

Dennis made sure George was ready this morning. When I came over he just needed to shave and a couple other things. We did his exercises and then I fixed some lunch at home. While we ate, I showed George some of my vacation pictures so he could get an idea of where I was while I was gone. He didn’t say much but noticed a picture of me; pointing to it and looking at me. We went for a drive afterwards. I took a picture of him in his new hat that Don bought him that he “doesn’t need to wear” ;) (His words, but he did wear it). He took a nap on the couch when we got home. It was good to see him after so long. I’m sure he had a good time with Don and Sharon while they were out here.
(My picture didn’t turn up on my computer; I’ll have to add it when I can).
