Happy Halloween!

George was still asleep when I came over, I’m not sure if he was up earlier or not but he was sure tired today. We had lunch and coffee then went on a drive up to the mountains and just around. We saw some houses that were all made up for Halloween and some early trick or treater’s. I pointed out this kid on a skate board with a huge puffy red balloon type suit on, not sure what he was but George looked at him and said “Ohhh." We came home and he had some candy and waited for the trick or treater’s. We put the skeleton in the bowl too. Maybe he will play it for some people :)

Today is a nice day outside. We did exercises, had lunch then went to Tracy Aviary. We were there til close! The Aviary was cool, it was decorated for Halloween. We saw all kinds of birds today. George liked looking at them and trying to play with them. They liked him too. :) We walked around the park a little bit after that. We took a pretty way home, close to the mountains. He took a shower when he got home.

George had a lunch skype with Sharon today. We did his exercises before he had lunch with her. When he was done with his lunch, he got to see Scout too. :) We went for a small walk outside. He has neighbors that are moving and have a moving van outside; I thought he’d like to watch them from outside. The wind was cold so he started digging up weeds instead. He got too cold and came inside, started the fireplace to get warm. I had to leave soon to go and get ready for a Halloween party.

When I asked George what he wanted to do today, he chose to go and get a haircut. He even had it washed and fell asleep while Yao was washing his hair ;) we had lunch at the Chinese place by the barber shop too. He was quiet today but when I started to drive up the mountain, he said “Where are you going?” I think he wanted to go back home. I thought it would be nice to drive up the mountains while it’s still fall. There was a little bit of snow on the mountains; more as we got to the top. The drive down was really pretty. We watched the clouds go by and even drove through them. It was really cool to see. Back down the mountain it was the pretty fall colors again. He did some exercises too. When he got home there was a big package, and it was for him! Dennis bought him two really big blankets, a robe and some flannel pants. :)

Dennis and Ryan had to work today so I just came over to get some lunch for George. He was in his robe; it's a cold day. I didn't worry about him getting dressed but we did do some of the usual things that we do. He ate all of his lunch and was watching his neighbors outside. I left a t-shirt and a shirt on the couch for him if he decide's he wants to put it on. When I left, he waved goodbye to me, he hasn't done that in a long time. It was nice. 

Today George had a Dr. Appt. with Dr. Baker. I had him do his exercises first. I haven’t seen Dr. Baker for a long time. He asked me quite a while ago to bring in pictures of George when he was younger. After he was done talking to him I showed him pictures of George playing baseball, Judo, family pictures…He was happy to see them. The Dr. apt went well. It was super windy! We came home and I fixed lunch then we cleaned off the pumpkin seeds and put them in the oven. We went down to play pool and he did so good! We almost finished a full game. He took a shower afterwards.

George was awake and had eaten a little bit of food. We went back and he took a shower, and then cleaned the bathroom a little bit. He had a lunch skype with Sharon after that. We went to the Pet Store today. He saw a cat that he liked and asked how much it was. It was $1,500-$5,000! It’s the store cat, a purebred Manx from the island of Manx. It’s still a kitten but it’s huge. George was playing with it for a little bit. After looking at all the pets, we came home and carved out our pumpkins :) He had that proud smile on his face. He did a good job too!

I didn’t go over today, I’ll see George on Friday

George had a really late night last night. He was taking a nap; I cleaned up while he rested. When he got ready, we did some exercises, he did so good! He had some lunch and then chose a face for his pumpkin. It took a while for him to draw the face on; he liked to count the sections of the pumpkin. After he was done with that we went for a walk to practice his walking outside. He did really good again! One foot in front of the other. He walked to the end of his street, saw a house that had a big ghost on the door, crossed the street and came home on the other side. He watered the plants outside when he got back.

Today was rainy and cold. George was still in bed when I came over, it took a bit to wake him up. He had a lunch skype with Sharon when he was ready. He showed her and David his skeleton and even danced with it :) We did exercises afterwards. He had more lunch when Dennis came home with groceries. He couldn't choose what face to put on his pumpkin so we'll do it another day.

George was really tired today. I had a hard time getting him going today. Dennis had the truck ready for us to use, we ended up going to Wheeler farm. He drove around for quite a while. We picked out a couple of pumpkins at the pumpkin patch for us to carve. He people watched and just looked around. We drove to some places we haven’t been before. We’ll probably carve the pumpkins tomorrow. 

George was sitting outside today. Such a nice day…We had lunch at home and then went to the International Peace Garden’s at Jordan Park. I showed him some pictures of it before we went. Dennis got the truck ready to take so we could use George’s scooter :) While Dennis was getting it ready George kept saying “Na…” and waving his hand. He had fun once we got there. He drove the scooter and walked a bit too. We looked at the river and he said something that had to do with fishing. It was a long day and he was hungry when we got home!

George was sitting outside today. We visited for a bit then came in and did some exercises and then got ready to have a lunch skype with Sharon, he got to see David and the cats too :) We went to Walgreens to get him a flu shot (Thanks Sharon) and picked up a dancing skeleton. There was a little boy there that said hi to us and showed us all the stuff he got. It made George grin. When he left, he said to his Grandma “Look at him, he’s really old like my Grandpa” it was cute. Then we went for a drive. When we got back I had him get on his scooter and just go by himself. He drove to Val’s driveway, I went out to turn him around and he ended up turning around and parking behind Ryan’s car. He drove the scooter in the driveway and I had him park it in the garage. 

George was just waking up and getting dressed when I walked in. Dennis fixed him some lunch and coffee and we had lunch at home. We went to get George’s hair cut today and then to the credit union to cash his check. When we got home, we decorated the tree with the fall flowers and leaves that we got the other day. The witch decoration fits just right above the tree where he wanted it. ;)

George had a podiatrist apt today. We tagged teamed and got him ready to go on time. Afterwards we went to Dollar Tree and picked out some fall type things for his tree in the living room. He got a witch on a broom too. I was showing him some decorations and he pointed to it. He had a shower and had something to eat when he got home. We'll decorate the tree another day.
