George was asleep on the couch when I cam over today. He was dressed though. He was tired today and really quiet, since it was late when I came over, I just fixed him some lunch and we ate inside. He didn't want to work on his rock box so we went outside on the porch and had a bowl of ice cream. I got the hose out and had him water the front yard flowers. He did a good job. That hose has amazing aim ;) I accidentally got him a little wet, he talked then! After the front yard we went to the back yard to water the flowers, he just kept throwing the hose and making mud puddles. he got it after a bit. I tried to help but...I went inside, got him a beer and had him sit outside in the shade by the pond. I really had to push today. He did say "Too much." Pointing to his legs. He was going really slow. It was hot today!

Today I came over earlier and George was just unlocking the back door for me. He told me "I don't know...You can stay here though..." He was confused asking what was going on. I think he might have just gotten up. It was hard to get him to go back and get dressed. Maybe because he hadn't had 'his' morning first, where he makes his bed, opens the curtains, gets dressed...and has his own time. I'm not sure, but I had to really coax him to get ready to go today, he wanted to take a nap but I fixed some coffee and oatmeal for him to eat. It took a little bit to get him out but once out we went to the Senior Center to ride the bike. He ended up falling asleep on the bike :/ I should have let him take his nap. We went to SouthTowne mall after, had lunch and walked around the mall. He said "It's too big." He fell asleep on the drive home. When we got home, I make him something to eat and he took a nap on the couch.

When I came in the back door, there were things all over. George had taken out the kitchen drawers and other 'stuff' around the house too. I wish I could have come earlier to get that energy out in another way. I'll come early on Wednesday though. I had him get in the shower first thing today; he didn't have a lot on. It worked out good that way. When he was ready to go, he pointed that he wanted to go up to the mountains. We went for a long drive to where he pointed, and then we went up to Snowbird. It was really windy so we got some food and ate inside, still a good view. We went outside after and I pointed to the tram but he said "Nah! I did that yesterday."  (It's kind of expensive and I don't want to take him if he's not into it.) It sounded like him and Sharon really did though. We went for a 'walk' up one of the trails though. Something different. We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home and had messy ice cream cones.

I came over to talk/visit with Sharon and George. Today is the first day of summer! We went up to Park City and watched some kids on the ski jumps at the Olympic Park. It was a good thing to do on the first day of summer :)

George took a shower before he got dressed today, and after his shower he was laying on his bed in the sun. It was a nice and warm day. We spent the afternoon up at Snowbird. We went and got some lunch and took it outside to the tables to eat. We were watching kids on swings and trampolines. One guy couldn't do a back flip, George thought it was funny. He laughed and said "Look at that guy..." I noticed that Wasatch Mining was open :) I mentioned it to him and he just did his hand gesture of not interested. We went over after lunch anyway. I bought a small bag and he just wasn't that into it. I don't know if he was looking for a particular rock or what. He had lots of big ones. He said something like "The more you get the more you pay" and "I have enough" (Then at home he says "I don't have enough." ;) ) I don't know if he thought the bigger ones cost more?? It was too bad but maybe when he has them here at home, he'll get interested in them. We saw Pamela up there and she came out and talked to us while he was looking through the rocks. We went over the creek and watched the kids climbing for awhile and just enjoyed the weather. It was a really nice day, and our time up there went fast. There were lots of people up there too, that made it fun. (I was thinking of going on the tram if he didn't want to do the mining but they were closed until the end of the week for repairs.) When we got back to the house, I made him a snack and he sat outside by the pond.

George woke up a little later today. We had lunch out on the patio, he was pointing at a plane and motioning where it was going. He started cleaning and I couldn't redirect him so I let him clean for a bit, actually it was for awhile. It was a nice day today and he was dressed and ready to go out, we just didn't quite make it. I did get him to go out and sit on the porch later on and have an ice cream. We looked at the magazines that came in the mail too. His neighborhood is so nice and quiet, nice weather too (In the shade.) All we could hear was a lawn mower and birds. I asked him a question and he just put his hand up. Guess he's enjoying the quiet. He did say "Look" and pointed to an airplane. I let him take a nap outside.

After George was dressed and ready to go, we went out to lunch then drove around the downtown area (Lots of new construction going on) then we went to the cemetery. On the drive back, we stopped and got a couple drinks then went to Sugar House park and sat at the bench by the pond. We watched the baby ducks, and all the different birds. Last time we were there the pond didn't even have any water. It was full today. There were a couple kids that brought their ducks to the pond. They asked George if he wanted to pet them...he didn't want to but watched them a lot. He got in the shower when he got home.

George was in the living room picking things up when I came over today. We went back and finished getting him ready for the day then had lunch. He had one of his ice cream bars outside on the patio after. He motioned up to the sky at a plane and the long tail, not sure where he said it was going. He came inside and talked to Sharon on skype. He's pretty tired and kept falling asleep during their visit. They talked about how she will be coming out next week for a visit. That will be nice for him :) After skype, George woke up and I was showing him some pictures on his blog, he had one of his little smiles. I had him get up, he was getting tired, he got up and I had him go outside on the front porch. I sat outside with him for a bit then let him take a nap on the porch with the nice breeze. It was a relaxing day.

Fun day for George today. He had a surprise visit from Itso and Mamiyo! He was asleep on the couch but I woke him up and had him get dressed. Itso asked me if I would call Tom and Fran too. They showed up a little later. Itso, Mamiyo and George sat outside and read the paper and had lunch and coffee together.  After Tom and Fran showed up, all of them were sitting outside at the table, I came out to bring more coffee and George motioned around and said there were five. I was "Number 6. You're the baby." We all laughed. I was taking pictures and he wanted to make sure I got his rock box in the picture too, smiling and pointing to himself and then the box. They all had such a nice visit. George was engaged in the conversations even though he didn't talk much. It was really nice to see them all together. After everyone left, I had him get in the shower.

Trevor graduated High school today! I came over to the house to meet everyone and then go to dinner. George was not happy that I wanted him to get dressed. I was telling him what today was he just kept saying nahhhhh! Telling me I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about because he didn't see any cars and we were the only ones there. Finally after everyone showed up I was able to convince him to get dressed and go to Trevor's graduation dinner...yay! :) I think he had a nice time :) (Dennis took lots of pictures. I'll see if I can get them on the blog to.)

Today I really could not get George's mind off of cleaning. Every time I turned around he was cleaning. Sooo, we made it a cleaning day. He cleaned his bathroom while I did laundry and cleaned up around the house. I finally got him to take a break to have some lunch. He worked on his rock box a little today. That was the only time he talked about anything. I'm glad he likes to do that. He took a short nap and read the paper afterwards.

George was looking out the door when I walked in the house today. Trevor was at the house and I think he was looking at his scooter. We went back to get him ready to go out. He was tired when he went in his room and was picking things up off the floor too. It took a little while to get him going but once he got ready, I showed him his check that needed to be cashed. He’s not talking today; I told him he should probably go get a haircut today so it didn’t look like he was going to fly away. ;) We had lunch at the usual place when he gets a haircut and I always forget the name of it. We always have the same waitress and she comments on how well he is doing. Lunch took a while, and after we were done he went to go see Yao and get a haircut. It looks really nice. :)  There was a man there that kept doing hand motions to him…we went for a drive up to the mountains and then back home. He sat on the porch for a while.
