After George got ready for the day he sat on the couch for a little bit, he was tired. When I asked him a couple times what he wanted to do today, he just put a finger up to his mouth and said "Shhhh." He rested for a bit and then had some lunch and talked to Sharon on skype. He was really tired during their visit. He took a nap on the couch afterwards. I'm glad they were able to visit today.

Today is Memorial Day. We talked about Memorial Day but it was a confusing conversation. We had a late start today, it was a nice day so we had lunch at the Jasmine and ate outside on the patio. We took a really long drive afterwards 'up and around'. He was more active towards later in the afternoon/evening.

Today was kind of a yucky day. We had lunch at home. George was looking at his rocks and his rock box very intently. He was sorting out his rocks by color and looking at the box from every angle...so, we worked on it today. When he was done working on it, I was showing it to him from all angles and he said "It's looks OK." He keeps telling me that he doesn't like puzzles but the way he puts the rocks on is like a puzzle. He has to find the right one that will fit in the space he wants. We did some exercises together and he did some on his own too :) He read the paper afterwards.

George had a lunch skype date with Sharon today ;) He ate pretty good today. After their visit, we went to see Richard and May Matsuda. When we got there George kept saying "He looks like Dick Matsuda." I told him that's because that's who he is. He said he didn't recognize May (Mae?). They talked for a bit about people they knew or had known. After our visit, we came home and picked flowers in the yard. He was cutting roses and handing them to me, I said "Oww" and after that he cut off the thorns before he gave them to me. (Maybe he does this already? I thought it was sweet.) He went in the backyard too and picked some irises. I mistakenly called them lily's, he corrected me ;) "You mean irises." I gave him the 'irises' to arrange in the vase. Now he has some flowers to look at inside too.

It looked like George had been up for awhile when I came over. He was getting himself something to eat but I had him go back to clean up first. He had lunch out on the patio. He saw a plane and said it was going to 'Seattle' and then another one that was going to 'San Fransisco.' He fell asleep outside for a bit. (Friday he was up ALL day, well with one little nod off.) He came in cause it was to windy, and to change his shirt. He took a nap instead. (It is hot outside.) He was really tired today. I finally had him choose from 3 things and he chose to take a shower. (I did take a picture of him on the patio but it got saved to my phone instead of the card.) It was a mellow day.

I came over a little bit earlier today to help George get ready to go to the Podiatrist. He was already up and dressed and his bed was even made :) I helped him finish getting ready and then we had something to eat. He was 'all mixed up' wondering where I was (Had been). "You come in 2 days, right?..." When we were sitting at the table he was so funny, we were talking and he said "You're still single!" and then patted my hand and said "I'm sorry." (I had just taken a sip of coffee when he said that and started to laugh, I almost spit it out! he thought it was funny too). He told me about the cream and strawberry's he used to make. "The strawberry's have to be really ripe, and then you whip it up." We made it to the Dr's. pretty much on time. He was looking at his rocks and his rock box before we left. Since it was a rainy day we came back and he worked on his box. "Is that youuuu!?" He was looking at the picture on the box and didn't recognize me. He pointed to Sharon saying, that's Sharon. He was talkative today.

George was by the window today taking a nap. We went back and got him ready to talk to Sharon on skype (And to have lunch with her too.) He had a lot to eat today :) After skype we took a drive up to the mountains, he motioned where he wanted to go. I almost ran into a deer! It was a nice drive, on the way back though it got cloudy and was raining a little bit. He had a snack before I left.

HAPPY 50TH TO SHARON ON MAY 20TH!

George was awake, dressed and picking stuff up in the living room today. He even talked a little bit! We went back to his room and I had him get in the shower. After he was dressed, I remembered Sumo was on, so we watched the tail end of that while he ate and nodded off. He was motioning things and said "Ahhh shit" when he dropped a sushi. It was kinda funny cause that's all he said during lunch. When he was done eating, I went to put the wheelchair in my car and when I came back George was asleep. I let him take a nap while I cleaned up. When he woke up he said he wanted to go to the mountains. We drove up to Snowbird and walked (Wheeled) around. No one was there. Yesterday was the last day of skiing, but we did see some workers, we were the only ones there. We were sitting at a table looking at the water, he said "Nobody's here"... "See that road? Let's go up there." After our drive, I asked him what he wanted to do. He said "Let's go eat." We went to Mt. Fugi and had dinner, he ordered a lot. He even ordered a beer. We haven't been there in a long time since they closed for lunch. He came home and took a nap.

I needed to come over a little later today. Trevor came over earlier and gave George something to eat. When I got to the house, I had George go back to his room and get dressed and get ready for the day. He didn't have a lot to eat and 'said' he was hungry so we had a late lunch out on the patio. I picked a couple irises and brought them in the house. He needed a lot of re-direction today and is super tired. He's still not talking to me :/ He keeps falling asleep, so I put the rest of his food on the coffee table and had him go and sit down before I left. I hope he has a good weekend and will tell me all about it on Monday ;)

George was just finishing getting dressed when I came in today. He even had his bed made. He is still not talking today, maybe later? I fixed him what he wanted for lunch and he finished his lunch with Sharon on skype. He fell asleep but got up to get his shoes on so we could go out. He decided to take a nap instead. He did not want to wake up, he's super tired. He finally woke up and we were able to go for a drive.

Dennis text'd me and said that George didn't get to bed until 7am! I got there and cleaned up and told George I was here, he was awake in bed but fell asleep again. Sooo...he had a late start today. I had him get in the shower first thing. After his shower, I had him choose something to eat for lunch. I sat with him while he ate. He didn't talk today. Hopefully he will sleep tonight.

George had a lunch skype with Sharon, David and Scout. ;) He 'talked' to Scout today too. Sharon mentioned to him that they would be coming out here next month. I know he's looking forward to that. He ate a lot for lunch and when he was done, he wanted to go for a drive in the mountains. It was a pretty day. After our drive, I went and deposited his checks before the bank closed...whew...he came home and got in the shower.
Most of the cherry blossom flowers are gone already. He will have more flowers come up soon. We will have to pick some and bring them inside.

George was up and dressed already and eating at the small table by the window. He shaved and changed and then we were going to go out. When I came back in to get him, he was looking through his wallet and said "I need to find my check." (Dennis left a note to look for it, I looked for it while he was getting ready but could not find it.) When he realized it was missing, we spent our time today looking for the check. It wore him out and he took a nap.
