Sharon will be here on Sunday. I’m leaving to go out of the country on Monday and won’t be back until the end of December! I hope Sharon and George have a fun month. :) Happy Holiday’s! THANKS SOOO MUCH SHARON!!!

I came over to visit George, Tom and Fran, Dennis and the boy's after my Thanksgiving dinner last night. It was Fran's Birthday yesterday! I forgot Fran and Wil share the same Birthday. She said she had a good day :) we visited and then I played ker plunk with Blake and Dennis. Fran was saying how 'cute' the game was, she didn't want to play though. We played pick up sticks after wards. George was watching TV. After Tom and Fran left, we went downstairs and played ping pong. Blake has a wicked backhand and holds the paddle like a tennis racquet. Trevor was saying how good he is.

George stayed up really late and then got up real early today. He went back to bed and around noon I went in to tell him I was here, He just waved me off. I went in to check on him again and he was sleeping soo soundly, I didn't have the heart to wake him up. I think He needs the sleep. I cleaned up, did some laundry, watered the plants...when he finally woke up and when he was ready, he talked to Sharon on skype and had lunch and coffee with her. After wards, I was showing him some online maps and pictures of Thailand and telling him I was going there. He raised his eyebrows. We looked at all the pictures on his blog. The only response I got from him was from one of the pictures at the Olympic Park and the ski jumping. We looked at a few pictures on photobucket too. He was getting tired, so we stopped. He seemed interested in them though. I told him I was going to leave and he waved bye.

George was asleep on the couch when I came over today. After he was ready to go, we went out, had a late lunch and then went for a drive. We went up to the park but he didn’t want to get out of the car. We went for a drive and then came home and looked at pictures. “When I asked who David was, he said “That’s Dennis’ sister’s husband.” I mentioned that Sharon will be coming out this Sunday and that I am going out of town. He had that surprised look on his face. ;) He fell asleep while we were looking at pictures, I covered him up and let him take a nap.

When I came over George was still in bed. It’s an over cast day, and kind of cold; I think I would be too. ;) I let him know that I was here and when I checked on him again, he was getting dressed. I had him get ready to watch Sumo today and had it on, but he wasn’t interested. He was picking things up off the floor so we made today a cleaning day. He vacuumed a little then helped me ‘vacuum’ with the duster. I made him a new sitting area in his room. I don’t know if it will last or if he likes it, we’ll see. He took a shower and then we polished some rocks. He’s quiet today.

George was in his room getting dressed when I came over. I helped him to re make his bed and he got ready to have lunch with Sharon on skype. I asked him if he stayed up late last night and he said “This place was dirty.” I think maybe he was cleaning this morning. He had lunch with Sharon and was pretty quiet. Dennis mentioned that we go to the Museum of Natural History. There is a new one by Red Butte. After he was done ‘cleaning’ we went up there. It was really cool! We pulled up and he said “We’re going in there?” (It was a big building) I told him we had his wheelchair. I think he liked it, but all I could get out of him was that it was ‘cold’ (Outside). It was the grand opening today so we got in for free! Another bonus ;)

I came over a little earlier today. George was still in bed so I cleaned up a little, went in a couple times to let him know I was here and let him sleep for a bit. He seems really tired; I’m not sure how he slept last night. After he got dressed, he stayed in his room doing ‘stuff’. I finally got him to come out to have something to eat. We looked at pictures after lunch from Minnesota and he remembered the ‘chubby’ little kid. “I’ll bet he’s probably still chubby." He didn’t remember a lot of the other pictures but he did remember David’s parents, just not the names. He said “Oh!” and “Those two are together.” We looked at some old pictures too and talked about them. I was going to have him take a shower today, but he was too cold. He took a nap in bed instead. When Dennis came home, he said that George was up when the paper boy came.

Dennis was telling me that George didn’t sleep last night and that he fell asleep around 5am on the couch. He woke up a little after I got there. He got dressed and in the car he said "We better go eat." We went to Pawit’s, it’s a Thai restaurant. I thought it would be visually nice for him. We have been there before and he liked it. They have a big fish tank, lots of different fabrics and nic knacks. We went for a drive and then went to Willowcreek park and walked around the park, we used the wheelchair most of the way. We came home and George talked to Sharon on skype. I’ll have him get in the shower on Wednesday.

Today is 11-11-11! George was un-making his bed when I got there. He got in the shower while I started laundry and cleaned up. He decided he wanted to go out and eat, he didn’t care where. We went to Carl’s café today. He was looking at the street and saying he hadn’t been down there before and was asking me what all the buildings were. After wards, we drove down the street and looked at all the buildings. We ended up going on a drive and just going to side streets we haven’t been on before but wondered about. There was new construction, and huge homes and small communities. When we got on a main road George laughed and said “Boy you are lost.” I told him we were just driving. When we got back and pulled into the driveway, he said “Oh boy.” We hung up some of his clothes and watered plants. He was resting on the chair with the fireplace on when I left.

George was in his room making his bed when I got there today. I had him finish getting dressed and made his bed for him. I asked him what he wanted to do today and he said he wanted to go to the ski jumping place. I told him they don't do that until the summer and asked if he wanted some ideas. I mentioned 3 different things, a garden shop to look at plants, the pet shop to see the birds and the Living Planet Aquarium. He seemed interested in that so I was telling him how there were all kinds of animals and even sharks. He said "Oh really!" I asked if he wanted to go there and he said yes. We had a small lunch and looked around. He didn't remember going last time. We finally got our pictures taken for the membership cards. When he came home he got in the shower.

It snowed over the weekend and there is a little snow on the ground in Sandy. George was watching TV when I came over and looked comfy with the fireplace on. Since he has an appointment with Costco hearing aid center today, I thought it would be a good idea to get him in the shower earlier rather than later today. After he was ready, he had lunch at home. At Costco, they refitted his hearing aid and he told the girl on the way out that it “Feels good!” (They took off the top flap, it’s a little loser but Michael said it fits his ear better.)

I'm finally posting a few pictures from the summer:
Antelope Island Stampede and kite festival, peeling corn, Olympic Park with Trevor,Carl and Blake and riding the lifts at Sundance. I know, amazing isn't it? It was my dad's idea too! He told me to ask the lift operator if it was ok first, then he said, yes, he wanted to go on the lift. He was disappointed it didn't go further (it looked like it continued up another hill), but he enjoyed waving at the people we passed.

George was making his bed when I came over. I had him hurry and get dressed to talk to Sharon on skype. We got disconnected :( he’ll talk to her another day. After wards he was really confused and kept taking about who wanted to see him or talk to him. We went for a drive to get out of the house. We went to Plant Jungle. He knew he had been there before but was confused as to why we were there. When we left he told me I better go and “Pick up my order.” He didn’t know who told me to go there and thought we had to pick up a plant. We came home so he would be around something familiar. Dennis said he has been going to bed really late and has been confused other days too. It’s weird cause he was pointing out all the stores to me and telling me places we had been. He said “This is creek lane” and then told me how to get to his house. He knows what’s going on but at the same time is confused. Day light savings time is this Sunday too.

George was in his pajamas watching baseball. I started talking to him about it and he said he didn’t know what it was. I tried to find the picture of him playing baseball. He is confused today. I know he didn’t get a lot of sleep last night. He was slow to get going today, he ate at home and we went for a drive up the mountains. It snowed a little the other day and there was still some snow in some areas in the mountains. We went his old house afterwards. When I pulled up I asked him where we were and he said “That’s my home.” He was busy around the house when I left.
