George had just gotten up when I came over; he was just wearing a jacket. I asked him to go get dressed “Why? I just woke up.” After he was dressed I was asking him where he would like to go today “Why do you ask me so many questions? I let him wander a bit; he went outside on the porch and then out to look at the new plants and flowers. When he came in, he was telling me about a guy in the paper, he was the first ethnic person to play on the NBA and he was saying “To me, not that good, Tomio is better.” He talked about it for awhile; it was nice to hear him talking like that. I got up and he said “Oh, hey look, this is my girlfriend.” He talked about Elise and David for a bit too. I pulled my car out and came inside, he had gone inside and I guess got distracted and was making his bed. He wanted to go to the Olympic Park but I called first and they weren’t jumping today. We ended up going to a Chinese place for lunch to get some soup and afterwards we drove up to the Snowbird, Alta area. It was so beautiful! There are so many colors; the mountain was just covered in beautiful colors. He came home and talked to Sharon on skype.

When I came in, George was up walking around so I took him right back to his room to get ready since he was already up. He was messing with his hair so I asked him if he wanted to go and get a haircut, he nodded yes. We went to lunch first at Mountain Star? (The Chinese restaurant by the barber shop.) I had to put his lunch in a take home box. Dennis is going to get him some soup. He had his hair washed and cut, both me and Yeo told him he looked younger. I noticed a community garden on the way to the barber shop so we stopped by there and looked at it after wards. Dennis called and told us about Noles Garden, it’s really pretty! Lots of trees, plants flowers…they even had birds. It’s been around for 50 years! There was even a pond with huge fish. It was a really neat place. (Dennis might buy a sculpture there for the front yard.) When George got home he wanted a cold drink and sat on the porch and was still there when I left.
There are six pictures on photobucket of George at Noles Garden.

George was watching TV when I came over. (When I walked in I noticed he had the coffee pot filled with noodles. Pretty smart if ya think about it.) I showed him the rose bushes that Dennis planted over the weekend. (He also planted a lilac bush by the bench, a pear tree and some other flowers in the front.) George ended up taking a shower this morning first. He was taking his time but eventually got ready for the day. We ended up eating at home, it was late. I gave him three choices of what to do today and after some thought; he decided he wanted to paint the bird feeder. He put rocks inside and painted those too. It’s pretty colorful! He was getting tired and feel asleep outside.

We had lunch outside by the pond today. He was throwing raspberries at the fish ;) “Oh they’ll eat it.” After lunch, we went to the store to cash his check. It was taking him a long time to do things today; he kept getting distracted. He was really tired and took a nap on the porch when we got back.

When I came in today, George was up, dressed and reading the paper. It was so good to see him reading the paper; I don’t see that much anymore. He was ready to go in a little over a half hour! I asked him if he wanted to go watch the ski jumpers again today since they didn’t jump on Monday. He asked me if that’s what I wanted to do and I said it was up to him. I mentioned that they will be quitting soon for the season. He said “Well, ya then let’s go!” I was looking for his cane and had it in my hands when we went to leave, George asked me where it was and I said “Oh ya” and showed him I had it, he laughed and said “I’ve been looking all over for that.” When we got up to the Olympic Park, there were only about 5 people there but once we were there for about an hour or so the jumpers about doubled. One of them went off the high jumps and George said “Now, that’s more like it.” There was a dog up there today too that George liked to watch. It was windy up there today. We went to McDonalds on the way home. Nothing was open up there; I found out everything closes after Labor Day. We met a cute little 2 yr old girl and when she was leaving, George noticed a baby carrier and asked to look inside, he laughed and did his OK sign. He got in the shower when he got home.

George was asleep on the porch in his robe when I came over. I let him know I was there and went inside to straighten up a little. Sumo was on at 1:00 but the TV AV wasn’t working. Once he was up and ready to go, I asked him if he wanted to go see the ski jumpers today and he nodded yes. As we were leaving, he noticed that the birdfeeder was empty. He said “No bird seed I better do that before we go.” He saw a big daddy long leg by the bird food and pointed it to me and laughed when I jumped back. He was thinking ahead and wanted to bring a jacket, he didn’t need one but we brought one just in case. When we got up there, we found out that the ski jumpers don’t jump on Monday’s! :( We walked around upstairs and looked around then went outside to some places we haven’t been before. We ended up going to Redstone and having lunch at Good Thymes. George laughed when the waiter came out and said "Forget something?" I left the take home boxes on the table. The time went so fast today!

I came over a little later today. Dennis had just left and George was sitting on the couch eating lunch. We visited while he was eating and I cleaned up a little. When he got ready he said he wanted to go for a drive. It was overcast and a little rainy. I asked Dennis if he needed us to do anything and he mentioned going to the store to get breakfast food. We drove to Harmon’s and George drove one of the carts and he ran into this lady and just kept going, it was funny. I’m glad she had a sense of humor. She leaned over and said “You have to watch out for us red heads.” We had the drive up service put the groceries in the car for us and then we came home and George got on skype.

When I came in George was heating leftovers up in the microwave and had the fridge open with lots of stuff out. When he saw me, he said, in his evil grin “I’m the boss, no one else is here.” “No other men here except me” and “Nobody’s home.” He kept saying “I’m the boss.” I kept telling him “Yes you are.” At one point he said “I’m the boss and you’re my wife, you have to do what I say.” He was pretty talkative. I had him go back in his room and get ready. I gave him his lunch that he was heating up along with some pudding to help him swallow. Dennis came home and set the TV up for Sumo. George and I watched that til it was over. I asked him what he wanted to do and I could see him thinking about it for awhile, finally he said “That way, let’s go to San Diego.” I told him we could go that way but probably not all the way to San Diego, it was too far ;) He pointed to signs and wanted to go to Provo. He kept falling asleep after that so I drove to American Fork to Hayward Farms and he picked out a watermelon, cantaloupe, corn and apples. He kept falling asleep after that and couldn’t keep his eyes open, so we came home and I got him in the shower. The drive there must have wore him out. We got a late start because of Sumo but at least he got out for a bit.

Today when I pulled up, George was asleep on the porch! It looked like he had just got the mail and was sitting on the step and then just layed down and fell asleep. I asked him if he fell and he said “Oh no, no, no.” It didn’t look like it. He went back and got ready to go. He wasn’t sure what he wanted to do but he did choose ‘oriental’ food when I asked him what kind of food he wanted to eat. I gave him 3 choices and sometimes he knows the place, other times he likes to just choose a place based on the address. We went to Ming Gardens. We spent a lot of time there; it was taking him a long time to eat. He kept closing his eyes too. I told him he had an appointment at the hearing aid place. When we were driving to Costco, he fell asleep. Once there, when he got his hearing aid fixed, we were asking him if it felt alright and was it OK. He said “Let’s hope.” He came home and took a nap.
(I took a couple pictures but they didn't turn out :( )

George had a dentist appointment today. After he was done sweeping the porch, he came inside and got ready to go. The appointment was pretty quick and everything is fine. We went to lunch and he smiled at the picture I put on his to go box. We then to Hobby Lobby to get some paint for his birdfeeder. He liked looking at the wood boxes and birdfeeders. I showed him a birdfeeder like the one he has and he pointed and smiled. We looked around the store and went down the flower isles too. He liked some pink flowers; he was pointing them out to me. He picked out the ones he wanted. He also liked a little stuffed schnauzer. He got that too :)
