George was really tired today. He was still in bed when I came over around noon. Once he got up and got going, we had lunch at home; he said he was "Hungry now." After awhile he said “There’s no more white left” (Meaning the paint. He was painting his birdhouse a little while he was eating.) He asked me if I’d met Elise, he was looking at her picture. He said “You haven’t met her have you? She’s a nice girl". After lunch we went to the Senior Center to ride bikes. We drove up to Alta after wards and sat outside on the benches and people watched. He was pointing things out to me. We enjoyed the nice weather. (It’s so hot in the valley.) When he got home he took a shower. He was really quiet again today. I told him Sharon was coming tomorrow; he looked at me and raised his eyes, giving me that ‘Oh Ya?’ Look. :) When I left he was out sweeping the porch.

George was in his robe again today. He was really quiet. We went back and he got ready for the day, with some prompting. He came out, and sat on the couch. He was rubbing his head and when I asked if he had a headache he said he was dizzy. I gave him a back massage while he did his hand motions along with it. We went to the store and bought some new Sea Bond and then went to Dr. Kunz. When I asked him if it felt good he said “Ya, oh ya!” He has another appointment at the end of October. When I left, I mentioned that Sharon would be out on Tuesday. I left the calendar out for him to look at to remind him.

When I came over, George was sitting on the couch with his robe on. The weather was really hot today so I decided to stay in instead of going out today. We had lunch at home while I did his laundry and then George started on another birdhouse. He kept falling asleep while painting so we stopped. We'll finish it another day. It usually takes a little while to get one done. He was really quiet today too. He got dressed afterwards. (All his pants were in the laundry.)

I walked in today and I could tell George had been ‘cleaning’. He was a busy guy! I’m not sure if this is from the weekend or today, I’m thinking today, he was kind of tired. After I helped him make his bed, he got ready and took a little nap. We drove up to Snowbird, they had tents for Oktoberfest. But I guess they were still setting up? We got some lunch there and took it upstairs and just hung out and peopled watched. We drove up to Alta; George wanted to go for a drive up there. I wonder if it reminded him of Colorado it was the same type of drive on Boreas Pass. He came home and talked to Sharon on Skype then went out to sweep the porch.

When I came over George said “I’ll talk to you in a little while, I have to take care of the ants.” I let him go outside and do what he needed to do. He came in and got ready, then took a nap. After his nap we went to lunch at a Caribbean grill place in Union Square. After lunch we went to the watch shop to get a new battery cause his watch was ‘broken’. I asked him if he wanted to ride his scooter when we got home, but no.

We headed back today after we had breakfast at a place on Main Street. It was a lot faster to get back. We didn’t need to stop as often. Dennis stopped and got dinner and we had dinner at the house.

George was up earlier today. He was sitting on the balcony when I came downstairs. I told him we were going to take his scooter and go for a drive/walk. He didn’t know what I was talking about. When he was ready to go we went down to the garage and got him situated. We went for a drive/walk down Main Street. It started to rain a little bit, that made him upset. I got him to go in a bar; I thought maybe we could wait out the rain. When we got in he said “I don’t want a drink” so we went back out. The rain stopped and it was sunny, That made him happy ;) we were driving along and saw some tents, he drive the scooter in where they were and he drove around an arts festival for a bit. We stopped at a place that looked out towards the lake for lunch; it started to rain again so we had to go inside. He kept looking at a man and saying how much he was talking. After lunch, we drove down main street some more, he looked in a few shops. He got a lot of compliments on his scooter :) We were out for a good part of the day. When the guys came home, Dennis ordered out for dinner. We just hung out at the condo the rest of the night. George was confused thinking he had to do some ‘work’.

He slept most of the day, it was a long trip. When he woke up he wanted to go on a drive up to the mountains, he was sitting on the balcony (Our balcony faced the mountains and he could see the other cars up there.) We went for a drive to another part of the mountains first, and then ended up in a little town called Alma. The trees were getting scarce so we turned around and headed up the other mountain, it was called Boreas Pass. Half of it was dirt road (Well almost all of it) and there seemed to be no end to it. We drove for quite a while until I decided to turn back, it was getting dark. We saw some beautiful scenery from that mountain, it was so high up! We all went out to dinner after wards at a pizza place.

Dennis, Trevor and his friend PJ wanted to go to Colorado. There is a place where they can jump called the ‘barn’. Dennis wanted to take George to see how he did on a weekend trip. It was a long drive out there and we didn’t get there until dark. We made plenty of stops and had dinner in Silt. When we were driving, George was tired and wanted to go home. When we got to the condo that Dennis rented, he showed George his room and he said something like “This is just for me?”

Oh my gosh! George is so tired today! I tried to wake him up several times; he just opened his eyes a couple times and that’s it. I did some cleaning and let him sleep until he was ready to wake up. (I asked him if he had a late night date last night ;) I was talking to Dennis and he said that he got up really early and was out sweeping the sidewalk and was just busy this morning. I gave him a back massage, a head massage and a couple ibuprofen, he said he had a headache. When he woke up, we went and got him ready for the day/afternoon. When he was done, he said he wanted to go and get his hair cut and wanted to eat out in that direction. We went to lunch at …I always forget the name of the place but it is right by the barber shop. He mentioned to the waitress that “This is a good idea.” (All the prices are the same for lunch.) She asked him how old he was and he said “Not 100 and laughed.” When we came home George talked to Sharon on skype and then he sat outside on the porch in the 'beautiful' weather.

When I got to the house George was in his room and when I walked in he said “How you doing?” He hasn’t asked that in a long time! :) He finished getting ready then couldn’t decide what he wanted to do today. I got out 3 choices for him. He chose to go to the Living Planet Aquarium today. We went to the Credit Union first to cash one check and deposit another. We took his blood pressure at the store and did an eye test too. We had lunch at Calypso’s café inside Living Planet Aquarium. He was asking what all the fish on the ceiling were, and when we were done, he looked around and said “Where’d everybody go?” We didn’t stay as long as we normally do when we go there. It was pretty busy today. I’m glad we have that year membership (Thanks Sharon) :) When we got home, he got in the shower.

We picked up some KFC (After I gave 3 choices) and went to Murray Park for a picnic. George had an appointment at the hearing aid center at Costco today. Mark re-fixed his right hearing aid; it was still bothering him a bit. He re-fitted the left one but I’ll wait til his ear is better to put it in. (I have it with me so it won’t accidentally get lost.) We drove through Wheeler Farm but just the sheep were out today. When we got home, I had George water the plants outside then he took a break and sat on the chair outside.

George was awake sitting on the couch today when I came over. I noticed his hearing aids were out. After I took him back to get ready, I started looking for them, Dennis started looking too. They ended up being on the floor under the table. I called and left a message for another appointment for hearing aid adjustments, this time on the other side. He decided he wanted to go to ihop and then to the Senior Center. We ended up getting lunch for free because they messed up my order. George rode the bike, lifted weights, stretched and did his leg exercises. He even did the manual sit up thing (Cant’ think of what it’s called) and the resistance bands. He wore me out ;)

When I came over George was sitting on the chair looking out the window. It’s really rainy today (Finally cleared up around 2-3ish). I had him go and get ready; he decided he wanted to take a shower first! :) When he was done he wanted to have some lunch at home, then we went to Wasatch Shadows. George found some things that he wanted, the first was a pink coil bird (It flaps its wings and moves its head when you touch it.) The other things he liked were those Wind Twisters, (Those are pretty much what the name says they are.) He got a pink one and a clear one. He was really quiet today but when he got home, and was getting out of the car, I had the things in my hands and he looked up and laughed, I asked him what was so funny and he pointed to the bird. I had him show me where he wanted to hang the Wind Twisters. They are hanging above the patio and the bird is outside sitting on the table on the front porch.
