Today I asked George if he wanted to go and get his haircut. He wanted to last week and we never did it. He said "Oh that's right, we never went back and got a haircut". So I thought we would try Sharon's Cafe again. When we pulled up it was closed! again...it had a sign up that said it was closed on Mondays until after Labor Day. We'll have to try again, just so he can say he had lunch at Sharon's ;) We went to eat at the Chinese restaurant right by the barber shop and then we walked over to the barber shop (He wanted to drive over, but we 'exercised') When we got there it was closed! I forgot they are closed on Sunday's and Monday's. He walked back to the car and we went for a drive. We came home and put laundry away and watered plants.
His weight was 90 lbs. (Without shoes) and BP was 131/74. He sure stays consistent :)

Today was a repeat of Wednesday (After some prodding and asking what he wanted to do) except we got to enjoy the mountains :) We went out to lunch first then up to Brighton and walked along the path at Silver Lake. We'll bring his wheelchair next time so we can go all the way around. It was a nice day.

We went for a drive up to the mountains. I asked George what he wanted to do today and he said "Let's drive up there, it's pretty today". (He was pointing up towards the mountains). He wanted to sit down and eat first rather than take lunch up with us. He was out the door before I was! Guess he was hungry? ;) I thought we would drive up to the Brighton area and walk around the lake up there. When we got up there we pretty much had to come back. I did some laundry while George took a shower.

Yesterday was Fathers Day! I hope George had a nice day. Sharon and David had a really nice plant sent over to George. Sharon was able to talk to him today on the phone. When I asked him if he knew what he wanted to do today he said “Oh ya, lets go to Ogden to see Mamiyo. I haven’t seen her in a long time” We got a late start; he had some salmon in the fridge that he ate before we left. They had a nice visit. Mamiyo went to Chicago to see Peace. George asked Mamiyo if Peace was fat. Peace is still working! Randy was at Mamiyo’s and he made George a drink. I think it was a little strong. We left soon after. Before we left I took his weight and he weighed 91lbs. His BP was 135/65 (I took pics but they turned out blurry).

It was kind of a cool and overcast day today. I made lunch at home then we took his newspaper and we were going to have coffee over at Sunset Coffee. When we pulled up, George said that there were too many people there. We ended up going to Beans and Brews to have coffee and read the paper. He said it was noisy, but it was relaxing. His weight was 91 lbs and BP 135/60

George was outside sitting on the porch when I drove up. After he got ready, he wanted to go eat “Where his old house was, in Holladay” and then go and get a haircut. He said he didn’t care where he ate. I’ve seen this place called Sharon’s Café and wanted to go there sometime cause of the name ;) we pulled up and they were closed. Maybe next time. We ended up going to Gepetto’s. It started pouring but was ok when we left. After lunch we pulled up at the barber shop and George said “Oh I don’t want to go, the weather is too bad”. We did stop at the store and pick up a few things though one of them being sprite, hmmm the weather was fine for that ;) He watered the plants when we came home. It was a cold and rainy day.

What a crazy day! (Kind of) When I came over there were a couple guys here trying to sell some spray, nice kids but George didn’t know what was going on. The neighbor came to talk to him to. We talked to Sharon for a bit and a girl drove up with a fish delivery (Strange) then Trevor drove up with his car to mow the lawn. We ended up just going to ihop cause it’s close and it’s free for him! Thought that would cheer him up. We went for a drive up Alta canyon (His choice) and looked at some of the houses up there; George said he liked it up there. We came home and played Frisbee and looked at the fish.

Monday 6-7-10

George was asleep outside on the chair when I pulled up. It was good to see that :) before we left I had him change his pants; they were dirty from being outside. He put on a new pair and I made a comment (Can't remember what I said) and he said, "Are we getting married or something?" I said "No" then he said "Well these are fine then". I asked him what he wanted to eat and he said he just wanted a hot dog. We went to Fashion Place Mall to go to Hot Dog on a Stick. When we got there we went to Edo instead. The girl there knew him! We walked around the Mall a little, stopped in an Asian store and at See's Candie's and had a chocolate :) We came home and looked at the fish. He said "Oh they look happy" He didn't even poke in the pond at all. I think as long as he can see them, he's fine. ;) He propped up the pillows on the couch and is going to take a nap. (I asked him to teach me how to swing a golf club and that we should go golfing, he was pretty adamant about not doing that when I asked today). I'll keep putting the idea in his head though).

His weight without shoes was 90 lbs. and BP was 124/62.

When I came over today, I pulled in the garage cause it was open. I was getting out of my car and heard all this noise and couldn't figure out where it was coming from! George was in the tool box looking for something to cut flowers with. We came inside, found the scissors and he was cutting some of the flowers and telling me "Look, look how pretty." One of the light blue bulbs had opened and looked really pretty. He loves how big they are! He got ready and then we looked for his hearing aids ALL day. I swear I have looked in every nook and cranny. I have NO IDEA where they are. I did some of his laundry today too cause I tore his bed apart! My plan was to go golfing today. Hopefully soon.

Wow its June already! George said he wanted to rest today. After getting ready, we went to lunch at Sushi Express and he really likes the mini waterfall they have there. He was asking me how much it was. I asked them where they got it; they got it in China Town in Ca. I tried to find a place that I know of that would maybe have something like that, I couldn’t find it! We had a nice drive though :) George was falling asleep so we came home and picked flowers to bring inside. He already had some that he cut and brought in too. He called Sharon and told him how pretty the flowers were.

I came over late, wasn't feeling too good. When I got there George had made a dark drink, looked like coke but smelled like vinegar. I'm thinking he got out the red wine vinegar and poured that with something to make a real 'yummy' drink. I made him some lunch at home and we painted a little bit. He was telling me how the flowers on the trees are all gone now. He was tired today.

We went to lunch at Fugi and then to Shopko for bird seed and hand towels. When we were at Shopko, we got a big bag of bird seed and I put it behind him on his wheelchair and he said "Oh that feels good" he picked out 3 hand towels. It seems like he is always out of towels. When we got home he filled the 20 lb bag of bird food and put it in the bin outside. It was heavy but he did it. We played pool after wards and he didn’t even have to take a break! He did a good job :)

I forgot to post weight and BP on Monday. George’s weight was 92 lbs. and his BP was 130/62.
