We looked at pictures today; I couldn’t keep up with George! He was telling me about them
faster than I could write. I kept telling him “One at a time.” We got through quite a few though. Sharon called today too and talked to George for a little bit. We took a break from pictures and had lunch, he wasn’t very hungry today. Afterwards, he showed me his wife’s jewelry and was saying “I’m not sure if it’s worth much, and “She never told me when she bought it.” He wanted to go through his safe in his closet to. We found his birth certificate, pretty cool. We tried to play his Wii but he was tired from the pictures. Friday we’re going to Ogden.

Today George wanted to go to Ogden; we will be going on Friday instead. We had a cup of coffee and talked (He had just made a pot). He was telling me about his car and Trevor. He forgot that he couldn’t drive. We talked about the news, and he remembered things from last year! Dennis mentioned that he liked the Pho at Shanghi, we went there for lunch then went to the store to pick up some flowers then went to the cemetery.
His weight today was 97lbs. and his BP was 132/62

January 22, 2010
George had just made coffee when I came over. He was dressed and even had his hair combed! He sounds pretty much back to normal. We had coffee and lunch then went for a drive out in the Draper area. I’ll have to look up open houses, he said he would like to go and see one. “Those houses sure are big; I’d like to see inside one. I think they have an open house.” I told him he would probably get lost! (This past week I’ve been going to work at the hospital at 3:00).
I haven't taken any pictures this week. Who wants their picture taken when you're not feeling good, ya know?

I finally had George shave today; I don’t think he had for a while. His hair was still kinda messy but when you’re not feeling good I think it’s ok to let at least one thing go. He was telling me about how he didn’t know who Ryan was and that he felt really bad. He said that he went downstairs and was telling him “What do you think you’re doing here?” You just can’t come in and sleep wherever you want! I don’t even know who you are!” When he found out it was Ryan, he said he apologized to him. After lunch we watched Sumo and he was explaining it to me.
I didn’t get his weight and BP on Monday but today when I took both, his weight was 95lbs! and his BP was 120/70 (I’m pushing the Ensure’s).

Today George was dressed but still not feeling that well. We had lunch and he talked about the old days. He talked about family, baseball, his home, work etc. It’s good to hear all about that, even if I have before ;) There’s always different ways of him explaining things, and different questions to ask too.

George was asleep on the couch when I came over today. His voice sounded horrible. He fell this morning while getting the paper; a neighbor helped him into the house. I gave him some soup for lunch then called his Dr. We ended up going to the ER just to be on the safe side. He just has a cold and hopefully he will be feeling better soon. Poor guy :( He was such a good patient though ;) The nurse loved him. She was telling the Doctor in the hall that "You have a really cute patient."

Today I made George lunch at home. (I had to work at the hospital for an afternoon shift and didn’t have a lot of time to spend with him today). We finally made his kaleidoscope! He really liked it! He said “It’s worth the money!” and “We could charge $10.00 for people to come and see it.” He kept showing me the formations and colors he liked. He likes to see all the different colors and shapes. I left it on the coffee table for him to look at whenever he wants.
(Maybe we could find something like this on a larger scale).

Sharon and David are leaving on Wednesday. They will be taking George out for the day :)
January 8, 2010
George was up early again today. We went to the dentist then tried the tofu place Sharon told me about. The presentation was really nice. We went to the craft store afterwards and bought some things for George to do. He smiled at a Valentine house (It’s just like the Santa house). We got that and he also wanted to get some canvas to try and paint on. (I asked him if he wanted to do it, he said yes). He fell asleep right when we got home. All that walking wore him out.

Today (Wednesday) George didn’t feel like going out. He was saying things like “If someone comes in, tell them I’m sick.” And when we were talking about going out he said, “Let’s go to the mountains and get lost.” I got the cards out and he decided he wanted to go to Sunset Coffee. When we drove up to the place he said “No, I don’t want to go here.” Soo… we drove up by the mountains (That’s where he wanted to go) then he saw the Sushi Ya on the drive down, we stopped there for lunch.
