Today (Friday) I came over a little late; it’s a good thing because George said he had just gotten up. I mentioned going to pick up some lunch and then going to the canyons, he liked that idea. He couldn’t decide what he wanted to eat but said that Carl’s Jr. would be good. (Next time when we have more time, I’d like to make sandwiches and snacks to take up there and spend a little more time). We used the new camping chairs! I love them. We can go places now and not have to worry about what places will have tables. On the way down, we saw a group of people that looked like they were getting ready to go hiking. George said “I don’t know HOW the hell they are going to get up there” it was funny.
I have more pictures on photobucket.

When I came over today, George was still in his room. He was telling me about his bruise. He got dressed, and was looking at pictures and saying he wanted to show me more pictures. I took his lead; made…I guess it was brunch. He wanted an egg and bacon ‘dinner’ and he made coffee. We ate outside on the patio and looked at airplanes; he kept saying they were going to San Diego. We talked about MN and how he thought it was like Montana (Because he saw it on a map). After we ate, we went to look at pictures.
I have more pictures on photobucket of him looking at planes and pictures.

September 21, 2009

Today we drove out to see Mamiyo :) I came over a little bit early and all he had to do was get his shoes on. I’m so glad he was ready! I had to coax him a little; I was a little worried he might not be up when I got there. He had a good visit, its fun listening to them talk.
(I couldn't get the pictures of their visit on this blog, but they are on photobucket).

George couldn’t find his hearing aids today, we looked all over. We finally found them in his pillow case! Tracy’s dog has been over and he was worried about the dog and looking for it. We only had time to go to lunch. We went to Mt. Fugi.

Well, we finally made it to the Living Planet Aquarium today! (I gave George 2 options and he chose it). ;) At first I wasn’t too impressed, it was showing things here in Utah like brine shrimp but when we got to different parts of the world, it was became really interesting. I took lots of pictures and posted them on photobucket. They had a restaurant there but George didn’t want to eat there, we stopped at Burger King afterwards, he wanted a hamburger.
His weight today was 98 lbs and BP was 140/78

Wow. George was back to his old self again! I’m so glad. :) We were out the door within 20 minutes after I got there! He just must have been tired last week? I took him to the cemetery today. We went to lunch first at the Japan Market, and then we went to Smith’s Market place to get flowers. It was so cool; he spent a lot of time fixing the grave sites, he even thought of bringing the scissors. He asked me at one point to hit his bum. (He was bent over fixing flowers for awhile) I guess it fell asleep. I felt like I was abusing him or something. It was nice to have a good day with him.

George was super slow today. The only thing we got done in the 3 ½ hours I was there was to go to the credit union and to lunch at Sushi Express (His choice) he couldn’t remember the name but pointed to where it was. Even after several times of redirection, he still was somewhat confused and wouldn’t focus on what we needed to do. He did talk to Sharon today on the phone. I’m glad he was able to do that.
His weight was the same as last week. 96 lbs. and BP was 120/80

(It was dark in the restaurant).

Wednesday was cleaning day. George was super quiet today. I had to initiate conversations! It took him awhile to get going and to stay focused. Could be he didn’t want to clean? ;) He kind of rolled his eyes when I told him what we were doing. (He’s so into picking things off the carpet!). Dennis made a pond in the backyard for the turtle…he lost the turtle the day after he put him in the pond! George was telling me about it. He was looking for the turtle too.
I think his weight was 98lbs. and BP was in the range of 130’s/60’s.

Friday George mentioned he wanted to get his haircut. When we finished putting the rest of the clothes away from Wednesday we drove to get his haircut. When we got there Yao was at lunch. We went to lunch too then came back for his haircut. He was still a little quiet today.
