August 28th and 31st

On Friday the 28th I was going to take George to visit Mamiyo, but each time I called her the phone was busy (I was going to call earlier in the week; I thought I had put her # in my phone, it is now though). I forgot what we did on that day :( sorry. Also sorry for all the late posts lately.

August 31, 2009

Today when I came over, I had George get ready for the day then I fixed him lunch at home. He was hungry and hadn’t eaten anything yet. While I was fixing lunch he went outside and picked some flowers :) He said he saw them out his bedroom window. After lunch I set out some cards for him to choose from because he couldn’t decide what he wanted to do today. I set out the Pet store, Sunset Coffee, Living Planet Aquarium and Cactus and Tropicals. He chose Cactus and Tropicals. He picked out a plant he said he hasn’t had before.

His weight has gone up to 98 lbs and his BP was 123/80.

George wanted to go to Mt. Fugi for lunch today. (He was saying he couldn’t remember the name but that it was in Draper and it was American food). Hmmm…After lunch we came back to the house and Dennis was working on the pond, we looked at the pond for a bit, filled up his glass orbs and watered his plants and put clothes away.
George has lost weight, his weight today was 96 lbs. BP was 140/63

Today (14th) George worked on his new birdhouse :) He did an amazing job! I set out paints, 3D stickers and he chose the colors, and used all the stickers. He was saying that it needed more so I had the idea of bringing things in from outside. He put rocks on the corners and twigs on the top. He changed the color to the front of the birdhouse a few times, but he did soo good :) I fixed him some lunch at home. He wasn’t very hungry; he had just gotten up a few minutes before I came over and was really tired.
(The next week 18th and 21st) I’m taking off, going on a road trip and just taking time off before school starts).

Dennis mentioned that Trevor was going to be jumping at the Olympic Park today. We went up a little later to watch him. I drove George up there and we took his new wheelchair too. He could have walked to the seats, but I guess I was too excited to use it ;) He walked back to the car using his wheelchair. He had a hotdog while he was there. He didn’t want to stay too long this time because he came to see Trevor. Trevor only jumped a few times. That was pretty much the day. His neighbor came over just before we left and was saying that he is taking him to lunch tomorrow! I’m so glad he has such nice neighbors :) His weight today was 98 lbs. and BP was 140/63. (I have a memory card now and will be able to add all the pictures to the blog soon.)

Today (Friday the 7th) was cleaning day. George and I did his laundry, watered plants, and just cleaned up. George chose to vacuum his room. (I said he could vacuum or dust). We had lunch at home. Blake came by to pick something up before he went to work and George said something to the effect of, either I was always excited to see them, or they were excited to see me. He then said….get this, “I miss you, in here” holding his heart. How sweet is that!

I didn’t realize George had a dentist appointment today. He was still asleep when I got there, I had to practically get him dressed myself today. He couldn’t figure out what was going on and why he had to go to the dentist. He was off his normal schedule and a little confused. Afterwards we went to lunch at Karroo’s. George mentioned he wanted a sandwich and we have been to this place before and he liked it. We drove through Wheeler Farm on the way home.
